The Beautiful Days of University Life
Seeing that I was silently sulking, he suddenly looked up and stared at me seriously. “I’ll keep you.”
I froze for a moment, thinking I had misheard: “What did you say?” I looked up at him, confusion written all over my face.
He leaned back in his chair, his tone casual, as if discussing the weather: “You don’t need to work part-time at the convenience store anymore. I’ll give you ten thousand yuan a month. All you have to do is... let me sleep with you.”
I was stunned, my heart skipping a beat.
Ten thousand usd.
For a student like me, that was more than enough to get by for a whole month, comfortably even. Meanwhile, slaving away at part-time jobs, staying up late and getting up early, only earned me six thousand.
Reason told me to refuse, but reality made me waver. There was a reason so many girls chose to become sugar babies, pampered and taken care of, without having to struggle just to survive.
I frowned, half annoyed, half teasing. “How old are you that you're already learning how to keep a lover?”
He gave a faint smile, then slowly raised his hand and lightly squeezed my chest. Tilting his head, he leaned in close and whispered in my ear: “You should know better than anyone how grown-up I am. Besides, I’m not some playboy. You gave me your first time. So me keeping you... makes perfect sense, doesn’t it?”
