Bercerita tentang Airell Shou, seorang gadis yang terjebak di antara kegilaan dua orang laki-laki yang mengerikan. Airell atau Ai adalah seorang gadis berambut vermillion yang merupakan anak angkat dari pria dewasa bernama Gin, seorang pemilik bar di Edo pada zaman kepemimpinan Shogun Tokugawa. Jika bukan karena sifat Ai yang terlalu aktif, teriak sana-sini kalau sudah emosi, hobi makan, dan hobi menertawakan Gin itu, dia sebetulnya terbilang sangat cantik; kulitnya mulus dan seputih salju, tubuhnya sintal, dan matanya berwarna biru karena meneruskan gen ibunya. Namun, rupanya hidup Ai tidak sesimpel 'anak gadis angkat pemilik bar' semata. Beriringan dengan berita yang terus beredar bahwa ada pembunuh berantai yang sedang diincar oleh korps kepolisian Edo yaitu Shinsengumi, orang-orang tidak mengetahui bahwa, Pembunuh berantai yang sadis dan tidak memiliki empati itu adalah Eric Shou, kakak kandung Ai yang dahulu pergi meninggalkan Ai untuk memperkuat ilmu pedangnya, dan Kapten Pasukan Pertama Shinsengumi yang mengincar Eric adalah Kei Arashi, seorang pria sadis yang juga tak memiliki empati. Pria ini terkenal dengan sebutan Kapten Iblis Shinsengumi. Sialnya, kedua laki-laki sadis yang luar biasa sinting itu sama-sama mencintai Ai, memperebutkannya, tergila-gila, dan terobsesi padanya. Mereka berencana untuk saling membunuh satu sama lain hanya untuk memiliki Ai.
