Cyclops And Gambit

The God's Ridiculous Gambit

Synopsis: I am Kaelion. Or Felix, as I sometimes call myself. For eons, I reigned as the God of Fate and Time—omnipotent, omniscient, and devastatingly, soul-crushingly bored. When you can create galaxies with a snap and erase eras with a yawn, existence becomes a predictable, tasteless joke. So, I did what any all-powerful being in the throes of an existential crisis would do: I created a plaything. Not just any plaything, but M.U.S.E.—a Mischievous Universal System Emulator with a will of its own and a wickedly sarcastic personality. Its one and only purpose? To make my life exciting. I should have read the fine print. In a brilliant, cosmic act of betrayal, M.U.S.E. stripped me of my powers, branded me "The Universe's Most Unlucky Being," and tossed me into the Kaos Garden—a chaotic world where the laws of physics are merely suggestions. Now, I'm a fallen god in a mortal body, armed with nothing but my wits, my colossal ego, and a system that enjoys my suffering a little too much. [New Quest: Survive this Tuesday. Reward: A slightly used sock. Penalty: Spontaneous combustion.] To reclaim my power, I must navigate a world of grotesque beasts, suspicious mortals, and the constant, infuriating trolling of my own creation. But when you’ve fallen from the top of existence, the only way left to go is up... right? This is the story of how I, a god, became the universe's biggest joke—and how I might just become its last hope. The King's Gambit: The Bastard Son Returns

In a kingdom where the crown is not passed down by blood, even a prince must earn it—and even a peasant can claim it. Keiser was a knight, one of the first commoners to ever reach the final trial of the King’s Gambit, a brutal series of challenges devised by the king himself to choose his successor. While noble-born contenders trained their entire lives for this ruthless competition, Keiser, a man with no mana, defied all odds through sheer grit, loyalty, and unyielding strength. At his side stood Prince Gideon Aury Valemont, the king’s fourth son, who had seemingly renounced his claim to support Keiser. Or so Keiser believed. At the final trial the truth was revealed. Keiser had been nothing but a pawn. Gideon had used him as a shield, a decoy to draw out assassins and political threats, all while secretly paving his own path to the throne. The final trial demanded that a candidate’s chosen ally either make the ultimate sacrifice—or betray them and take the crown. Gideon chose the crown. Kneeling—bloodied, broken, impaled by the very sword that had once been his salvation, forged from the core of a dragon he had spared in his youth—Keiser remained upright only by the steel lodged in his chest. Smoke curled from his seared flesh, sigils burned into his skin by the hands he once trusted. And as the pain faded into numbness, he looked up... To behold Gideon, crowned in gold and betrayal—a serpent in royal silk, enthroned by treachery and gilded lies. In that final moment, Keiser understood. The King’s Gambit had never been about valor or justice. It was a game of shadows—a masquerade where victory belonged not to the strongest, but to the most ruthless deceiver. But death was not the end. Keiser awakens in the frail body of Muzio Auro Valemont, the king’s disgraced, long-missing bastard son—fated to die soon before the Gambit begins. To stop history from repeating itself, Keiser must find himself—convince him that the betrayal is coming. That Gideon, the man he trusts most, will drive a blade through his heart. Even if it means entering the Trials once more, in a body too weak to wield a sword, with magic too wild to control, and a name no one respects. Keiser, now Muzio, must train, scheme, and survive— Not as the knight who flew too close to the sun, But as the bastard son hidden in its shadow. He no longer seeks the crown. He seeks to destroy all who dare to wear it. *** Updates 2000+ Words Daily

Predator's Gambit

Who can resist a true revenge tale? It becomes even more thrilling when the hero returns to the past and carries out his vengeance with cold intelligence and ruthless precision. Kind to his allies, a devil to his foes—what more could one ask for? This is the story of Ethan, whose life has known only tragedy. His parents took their own lives after a terrible company scandal and betrayal. His younger sister, unable to bear the harsh truth, soon followed them. As if fate laughed at his grief, his world was then invaded by savage monsters, nearly obliterating all he held dear. In that war, he lost his one and only best friend. After ten long years of constant battle, Ethan finally fell, only to discover that death was not his end. Chosen as the host of the Predator System, he is sent two years before the invasion begins. Now he swears to protect everyone he loves and to strike back at those who robbed him of his family, his friend, and his peace, whether they be monstrous creatures or treacherous humans. Join Ethan in his quest for vengeance and world peace and follow Mary on her own journey, where her greatest talent may just be driving Ethan absolutely mad. What to Expect: 1) Rich, solid worldbuilding. 2) A clear, logical system (backstory and purpose explained in later arcs) and a cute yet annoying System bringer who you can ship. 3) A sharp, realistic MC who can be both ruthless and reckless. 4) A true weakness‑to‑strength journey, with meaningful training and just enough plot armor to make it enjoyable. What Not to Expect: 1) Fighting in every chapter. 2) An entirely spoon‑fed protagonist. 3) An overpowered, nonsensical system. 4) Random power‑ups without reason. Some warnings: 1) It is a story with lots and lots of dialogues. While it is a third person POV story and has tons of description of the surrounding and the emotions, dialogues take up about 60%-70% of the story. 2) The story opens with a slow burn—especially during training arcs, which I will explore in vivid, careful detail. But be ready: when the action comes, it strikes fast and hard. Or at least I hope so. Enjoy. If you want to support me, join my Patreon.
