When Life Gives Lemons Quotes

Lemons of Fate

“IF life gives you lemons, well then, you’re god.” At least that’s what I wrote in my middle school diary, hoping it would be some kind of life mantra. Fast forward 15 years, and apparently, my childish optimism is the least of my worries. I’m now trapped in the novel I wrote as a kid. And no, I didn’t dream this up. There’s no way I imagined the high school drama, the ridiculous fantasy world, and—most importantly—the absurdly cliché plotline of some random teenager becoming a hero by… well, not being an idiot. But here I am. Caught between pages, awkwardly stuck in the world of my imagination where I’m supposed to be a minor character who dies in chapter three. Yeah. Real great, right? And here’s the kicker: It’s not like life (or the "god" of this world, which, let’s be honest, feels a lot like life at this point) is giving me some great power or destiny. No, no, no. Life’s throwing the equivalent of lemons at me, and I have no idea how to make lemonade. I mean, seriously? This world was supposed to be an adventure, full of magic, mythical creatures, and an epic storyline. But instead, I'm stuck here watching the “real” protagonist—who’s probably off saving the world—while I try to figure out how to not get killed by a random monster in the middle of a forest. Is this my punishment for writing a half-baked novel as a kid? Probably. But whatever it is, I’m going to have to deal with it. There’s just one problem—if I want to survive this insane mess, I need to rewrite my own fate. And rewriting this world is a hell of a lot harder than I thought. Can I survive in a story where I’m not supposed to exist? And more importantly—what if I can change the plot entirely?

When Fantasy Glitches

What happens when reality starts to bug out and your life as you know it is flipped upside down? Anomalies that couldn't possibly exist start to pop out of nowhere. This was the exact situation Magnus found himself in after a bizarre glitch yanked him from his own universe and tossed him into another. In this new, fantastical world brimming with magic and supernatural phenomena, Magnus's unexpected arrival landed him in possession of the Command Console, a tool that seems to be able to edit almost anything. With it, Magnus creates a variety of supernatural abilities that defy all common sense, even in a world of fantasy. Whether it was one that granted him truly endless strength or the ability to create detailed simulations of reality within his own mind, anything was possible. But Magnus isn't the only instance of such logic-defying abilities. All over the world, glitches are starting to manifest in weird ways: a brick that could knock anything unconscious with a single touch, a child whose perception of the world could affect reality, or even a woman who was, inexplicably, everyone's mother—there seemed to be no rhyme or reason behind any of them. When faced with all of these chaotic elements, Magnus comes to a decision. "Alright, if these are all glitches, then I'll simply have to be the one to fix them." Release Schedule: Monday, Wednesday & Friday. (Around 7:11 PM Eastern Standard Time) - This novel is also being posted on Royalroad, and can be read here; https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/84118/when-fantasy-glitches The Royalroad version is 10 Chapters ahead and has the original format.

When The Sun Bleeds

The sky wept in crimson. A deep, unnatural red bled across the heavens, drowning Velmoria’s golden sunrise in an eerie, suffocating glow. The air was thick with an unshakable stillness, as if the world itself held its breath. Crowds gathered in the city streets, heads tilted upward in fearful awe at the sight of the blood-red eclipse—a celestial event unseen in Velmoria’s long history. In the heart of the empire, within the grand halls of the Imperial Palace, the echoes of a woman’s anguished cries shattered the silence. The Empress was in labor. Nobles and servants alike stood frozen in the corridors, their hands clenched in prayer, their faces pale with worry. For hours, her screams had filled the palace, each one weaker than the last. The royal physicians worked desperately, but the Empress—Velmoria’s radiant star, beloved by all—was fading. And then, silence. The heavy stillness that followed was more terrifying than her screams. A single cry pierced the air—the wail of a newborn. The moment the child took his first breath, the doors to the birthing chamber burst open, and a cloaked figure stumbled forward—an old seer, his eyes wide with horror. He raised a trembling hand toward the heavens, his voice cracking like brittle parchment. "The sun has bled to mark his birth!" he cried. "He will be the harbinger of ruin—the flames that will consume Velmoria!" His voice carried through the halls, past the nobles, past the gathered guards—out into the city, where the terrified people turned their eyes away from the red eclipse and toward the palace. A prince had been born. A cursed prince.
