My Deal With Death

In a fractured universe ruled by ancient systems and silent wars, **Alex** is just another survivor—until he awakens the **CHAOS Core**, a living algorithm buried in the ruins of a forbidden Archive. Marked by a glyph no system recognizes, Alex becomes the first anomaly in a reality built to erase deviation. But the moment he touches the Vault, everything changes. Flung through realms where memory is currency and time loops like broken code, Alex finds himself hunted by the **Black Sigil Brotherhood**, a cult of system-purists determined to erase his existence. Beside him stand a rebel war-priestess, **Lux**, and a war-scarred tactician, **Kael**, both haunted by secrets and fractured allegiances. And in the shadows, the ruthless Nyra—wielder of the Garden Fragments—seeks to rewrite the system in her own image… even if it means sacrificing the last of her humanity. As Alex descends deeper into the heart of forgotten Architect tech, he discovers a horrifying truth: he is not a chosen one, but a **Split**, a self-branching paradox that threatens the very law of structured reality. With every choice, he risks becoming the very godlike system he fights against. Now, with the Brotherhood unleashing their final protocol and timelines unraveling, Alex must decide: Will he merge with the Core and lose himself forever? Or fracture reality even further to give it a future? --- **A high-stakes fusion of cyberpunk, cosmic myth, and post-human evolution, *My Deal with Death* explores identity, memory, and the price of rewriting fate.** When the systems collapse, the only thing left to fight for… is what you choose to become.

Becoming an Invader in a Fantasy Story

Layfon Drogo had the potential to be an interesting villain of a story. But the writer discarded him as a tutorial enemy that any no name mob could have been...Now we're here. Being chosen as an Invader, we are bestowed the means and power to change this world. Whether we help it or watch it burn is our decision. Watch as we create and build our Dungeon to take over two worlds and amass our own harem of beauties along the way. What should have been the MC, we will take! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX This story was originally called 'World of Alber'. I greatly enjoy my stories and will never drop them. However, I have to admit, this one was a little too slow paced. The idea was for it to be an experiment in slow building a story from the ground up. The problem is, while I enjoyed writing it, I want others to be able to enjoy it too. Plus, once we got to the village stage, I realized the plot was a little lack luster. So, I reinvented the story into something a little more fast-passed and interesting. I still intend to maintain the kingdom building, dungeons, summons, and other aspects that made up the core of Alber, but with an overall different plot/more developed plot. For anyone interested in the original, I have it saved in the auxiliary chapters and would love feedback. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX If you like what I do and want to support me, I have both a ko-fi and Patreon account. No paywalls, just something for people to help support a guy that likes writing. Can also be used to make requests for a particular story or that I devote more of my free time to a specific story. They’re pretty barebones right now; so, advice and tips would be appreciated. https://ko-fi.com/nevermore101 https://patreon.com/Nevermore101 I’m also on other sites where I post stories. A Certain Undefined Gaia

Gaia City stands as the pinnacle of human advancement—a sprawling, walled metropolis where science has given birth to the extraordinary. Within its boundaries live Gaias, individuals born with Arthem circuits, synthetic pathways infused with Psi Waves and the mysterious energy known as Metra. Ranked from Eta to Alpha, Gaias are classified, studied, and controlled under a rigid system designed to maintain order and suppress the unknown. But science can only explain so much. Beyond the city's borders dwell the Mergus, wielders of pure Metra through forbidden Ancient Scripts and sacred texts long dismissed as myth by Gaia City's researchers. Unlike Gaias, Mergus tap into forces unquantifiable, echoing lost wisdom and primal power. Contact between the two worlds is outlawed—for good reason. Exposure to raw Metra could cripple or kill a Gaia, disrupting their Arthem at the core. Ryouma Winslow, an Eta-class Gaia dismissed as a nobody, had no intention of getting involved with either side. But everything changes when he crosses paths with Archive (Shiro), a strange girl with fractured memories and a presence that doesn’t belong in Gaia City. Helping her seemed simple—until restoring her mind reveals a truth that shatters the world he thought he knew. Now entangled with rogue Mergus factions, hunted by unseen forces, and navigating fragile alliances with powerful Level Alpha Gaias like the electrifying Mei Tokisaki, Ryouma finds himself drawn into a multilayered conflict that transcends science, challenges belief, and threatens the foundations of Gaia City itself. Because in a world split between science and sorcery, the greatest danger is a boy who doesn’t fit into either side. Author's Note to Readers: This story draws clear inspiration from the Toaru series (A Certain Magical Index / Scientific Railgun), and longtime fans will notice structural and tonal similarities in its arcs, setting, and faction dynamics. While some adaptations and elements may feel familiar, please know that the world, characters, power systems, and underlying themes in A Certain Undefined Gaia are entirely original and unique to this work. Think of it in the same way that fans appreciate both Mushoku Tensei and TBATE—similarities exist, but each story carries its own voice, meaning, and direction.
