Of Flames and Gold

[My WSA 2024 Entry novel! Please vote] In a world where mythical beings have fallen into an "eternal slumber," a thriving underground market exploits the stolen essence of these dormant creatures. At its epicenter are dragons—majestic beings desired for their scales, organs, and prized eggs. The most coveted treasure of all is a dragon's name, a key that holds the power to control its very existence. Dragon Lord, guardian of a clutch of dormant eggs, lives in isolation atop a hill, surrounded by a forest that veils his castle. He bears the scars of past betrayals, having been deceived by those who feigned love to steal his treasures or claim his head as a bounty. Jaded and cold, he trusts no one, living a solitary existence. However, his solitude is shattered when a woman unwittingly stumbles into his life. Yara finds herself in Dragon Lord's treasured den amidst a battle between the dragon and thieves. In a twist of fate, she mistakenly bonds with the dormant eggs, breathing life into them. Reluctantly, Dragon Lord allows Yara into his world, and their journey unfolds amid the looming threat of underground organizations seeking to exploit the dragons for profit. As the eggs come to life, so does an unexpected connection between Dragon Lord and Yara. Despite his cold and jaded exterior, he finds himself unable to ignore her presence. Yara, too, cannot deny the pull she feels towards him, and emotions begin to burn beneath the surface. Together, they must navigate the challenges of waiting for the eggs to hatch, fend off those who seek to exploit the dragon and its offspring, and confront the secrets that Yara harbors—a revelation that could destroy everything. In this tale of flames and gold, two scarred souls in a world where trust is a rare and precious commodity must confront the ghosts of their pasts. They navigate the dangerous currents of love and deception, protecting unborn dragons from a world hungry for their magic. Will their bond withstand the trials ahead, or will the flames of betrayal engulf them in the end? A/N: It starts out SLOW, because I tend to get lost in the pages and be descriptive but once it gets to the action, it really picks up! Looking forward to growing with you all on this journey!!!

THE MAN OF GOD

This entire story takes place in a forest — a very dangerous forest, a dark empire. The name of that forest is Omariya Footsteps. In this forest, there are many ancient tribal human groups. Some of them include the Naazi, Moji, Dhrunari, Ekkoru, and many others. Among them, the Naazi are a very powerful tribe with a large army. Across the whole of Omariya Forest, the Naazi hold dominance because of their strong military. Next to them are the Moji, who are always looking to conquer the other tribes. But they never dare to mess with the Naazi — they fear their army. Far away from all of this, there is a military base. It never interferes, but it watches from a distance. That is the current situation in the Omariya Footsteps. These forests — the Omariya Forest — are located in the Congo Basin of South Africa. But then… something happens. Because of certain people, the Naazi army is destroyed. The once powerful Naazi tribe becomes weak. And then, one man, who comes from outside the forest, arrives to save them. This is the story. There are many interesting things in this story — like how the Naazi army was destroyed, why that man came, and what the hidden forces did. This story takes a new turn from a place in India — the Milton Research Center (MRC) located in Mumbai. This organization conducts research on many things related to the forest. One day, they discover something in that forest — something that completely changes the history of the Omariya Footsteps. The key person in this story is Virat — he works in the Milton Research Sector. Riya, who also works there, plays an important role. Because of these two people, the story of the Naazi tribe changes forever.

Lethal Gold

I turned away, trying to push past the suffocating madness that seemed to close in around me. Coughlan’s voice followed me, calm but unyielding. “You can run, Volcan, but you can’t hide. This city has a way of pulling its children back — whether they want it or not.” I glanced over my shoulder. His hollow eye seemed to pierce right through me. “Remember, your blood isn’t just a weapon. It’s a key. And soon, you’ll understand why.” With that, he melted back into the shadows, leaving me alone with the cold night and questions I wasn’t ready to face. I shakily took a breath, the cold edge of curiosity slicing through my panic. Pulling a small knife from my pocket, I pressed the blade against my palm, wincing as it nicked the skin. A bead of blood welled up, shimmering faintly under the pale moonlight — a soft, oceanic blue glow pulsing from within. I stared, heart pounding, as the glowing droplet hovered a moment before dripping onto the cracked pavement. Where it touched, the ground seemed to hiss, steam rising as if burned by some unseen fire. My breath hitched. This wasn’t just a dream. This was real. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________----- Some people excel at keeping secrets, others fail at concealing them completely. Volcan Blipe,a haunted middle aged man, has the worst of them. After an unexpected unfolding of events, Coughlan Ittanye, a power repressed city administrator, discovers the potential of Volcan’s blood- which can possibly eradicate the plague disease that has been turning humans into flesh eating monsters. When he tracks down Volcan and offers him a deal he cannot refuse as an illegitimate in Belandion city-city identities and protection in exchange for vials of Volcan’s blood, Volcan initially refuses, but eventually concedes. But things don’t stay the same. Unintentionally, their mutual transaction based on professionalism gets noticed by the underground societies, and one in particular-the Black Oxide gang Amid the budding relationship with the younger city administrator and his desire to live a normal life, Volcan can no longer afford not to bleed if he wants to survive.

Transmigrated into a Manhwa! ?

Edward Blake never imagined that death would be the least of his worries. When a tragic accident thrusts him into the pages of Obsidian Chronicles, a manhwa he barely remembered reading, he wakes up as Edward Arclight, the disgraced Duke of a crumbling estate in the mighty Aurelis Empire. Once a powerful family that shaped the empire’s history, the Arclights now hold nothing but a hollow title and a barren land plagued by unrest and debt. The world Edward finds himself in is one of magic intertwined with relics of advanced technology. After an apocalypse a thousand years ago shattered civilization, humanity rebuilt from the ashes, blending ancient tech with powerful magic to forge kingdoms and empires. Yet this fragile society now faces a growing threat—the return of the Demon King, a malevolent being sealed away by ancient heroes during the apocalypse but never truly defeated. Edward’s headache intensifies when he realizes the manhwa’s destined protagonist—the hero meant to lead the charge against the Demon King—doesn’t exist in this version of the story. With no chosen savior and no script to follow, Edward is left with one horrifying conclusion: the responsibility to save the world might fall to him. But Edward Arclight is a duke in name only, and his people, bitter and downtrodden, see him as a symbol of failure. With dwindling resources, fractured alliances, and a land teetering on rebellion, Edward must rise from obscurity to rebuild the legacy of his house. Along the way, he discovers hidden truths about the apocalypse, the origins of the Demon King, and the mysterious artifacts of magic and technology that could hold the key to saving—or dooming—the world. Caught in a web of political intrigue, ancient prophecies, and the looming shadow of annihilation, Edward must rally reluctant allies, outwit his enemies, and awaken the power hidden within his family’s forgotten heritage. In a world where magic and technology collide and destiny has been thrown into chaos, the forgotten duke must rewrite his own fate and face the ultimate question: Can a side character defy fate and become a hero?
