Blessed to be the Villain

Ethan's head throbbed violently as he opened his eyes, his vision hazy and unfocused. A dull ringing filled his ears, drowning out his thoughts. "What’s happening…?" he thought, his mind sluggish, struggling to catch up with reality. One moment, he was asleep—or at least, he thought he was—and the next, searing pain forced him awake. His vision swam, shapes blurring together in a disorienting mess. But then, muffled noises filtered through the haze—frantic, panicked sounds. Someone was trying to scream, their voice smothered, choked by something. A cold shiver ran down his spine. As his sight gradually sharpened, Ethan's breath hitched. He was on all fours, looming over someone. A girl. Her body twisted and writhed beneath him, ropes biting into her wrists and ankles. Her mouth was gagged, muffling her cries. Her wide brown eyes, brimming with fear and fury, glared up at him. Ethan's body locked in place, his blood running cold. "What the…?" His mind reeled, thoughts slamming into each other in chaotic disarray. "What kind of bizarre dream is this?" Panic clawed at his chest. His breath came in ragged, uneven gasps as he scrambled backward, only to realize his limbs felt sluggish, uncooperative, like they didn’t belong to him. "Is this… is this some kind of twisted fantasy I never knew I had?" A sickening thought slithered through his mind, making his stomach churn. The girl's frantic squirming slowed for a moment, her gaze flickering with confusion as she took in his expression—his trembling hands, his wide, horrified eyes. But the fear returned just as quickly. She struggled harder, her body arching, her muffled screams rising in pitch. Ethan wanted to speak, to say something, anything, but before he could force out a word, a glowing blue window materialized before his eyes. His breath caught. A translucent, hovering screen? "What…?" Lines of glowing text scrolled across its surface. --- [System Activated…] [Host Confirmed.] [Simulating Previous Data…] Ethan wakes up in a mysterious world, bound by a curse that clouds his judgment and forces him into choices he never wanted to make. ASTASHICA: Eternal Starborn Dominion

Astashica: Eternal Starborn Dominion "Listen well, child of the twin suns. The land speaks, the winds whisper, and the rivers carry old songs. But there is one voice that does not sing, one truth that sleeps beneath your feet. The world you stand upon is not what you believe it to be." The Xothek Galaxy is gone, consumed by its own hunger for power. The Asemeri once shaped the stars, bending light and void to their will. Their greatest creation, the Formicrons, built empires that stood for millennia. But Xothek fell—not to time, nor to gods, but to its own arrogance. The Azurevat fire erased them. Cities vanished. Kingdoms dissolved into the abyss. And the last Asemeri fled aboard the Defiance Vanguard, a warship of lost power, its runes still pulsing with ancient knowledge. They sought refuge. They found Astashica. A world of twin suns. A world veiled in Light. A world that does not belong to them. For three hundred cycles, the Asemeri ruled. They carved their names into the mountains, built their towers over rivers, but Astashica is awake. It watches. It remembers. Now, the shadow returns. Cosmus has returned. The exile. The usurper. The last remnant of a dead empire. His fleet blackens the sky. His armies rise from the abyss. And in his grasp? The final Azurevat missile—the fire that once shattered the heavens. And in the path of destruction, one man stands. Tlandar. Son of two worlds. A man of soil and harvest. A man who should have lived his days in peace. But war does not ask who you wish to be. It demands who you must become. Flee, and the twin suns will set forever. Stand, and awaken the Light once more. He takes the blade. He spills the blood. He walks the path of no return. The Defiance Vanguard looms overhead. The Azurevat fire waits in silence. The Formicrons stir beneath the sands. The ancient Asemeri cores pulse in the dark. But beneath it all—beneath the ruins, beneath the rivers, beneath the very bones of this world—there is something older than the Asemeri. Something forgotten. Something that was never meant to wake. This is not a war for land. This is not a war for power. This is a war for the right to exist. And so I ask, child of the twin suns—will you fight for the Light, or will you let the darkness take it?"

Blood Moon Rising: Wolf Princess at the Shifter Academy

(Warning! Mature Content!) With the moon as my only guide, I scamper through the sand and into the tent my two guards, Ryland and Aren share. Ryland, still awake, rolls over onto his side and props his head up on his hand, watching me awkwardly trip into the tent with amused eyes. “Are you okay?” Aren shifts in his sleep and then slowly opens his eyes. “Ora?” He grumbles. “What are you doing here?” “I heard a weird noise.” I bite my lip and blush at the lame excuse. “A weird noise?” Aren asks curiously, then a grin spreads across his face. “Did you come here so we could protect you from the scary noises?” He teases. “Well it is our job to keep our lady safe.” Ryland states and then reaches out to me. His warm hands wrap around my waist and pull me down to lay next to him. He spoons me and I look over at Aren who lies facing me just inches away. “You’re safe will us, so go back to sleep.” Ryland rests his head on his pillow and closes his eyes. I try to relax for a few minutes, but I can’t get my brain to calm down. “Aren?” Aren groans in response. “Yeah?” “Are you awake?” He cracks his eyes open and looks at me. “I am now. Why can’t you sleep?” “I can’t seem to relax.” “Do you want to chat for a bit to help you calm down?” Aren asks me. “Yeah that sounds nice.” I reply, but before I can say anything else, Ryland’s strong arm shifts and his large hand reaches down between my thighs. “Ryland, what are you doing?” I ask nervously. “I’m helping you relax.” He whispers into my ear. I gulp. “We can’t. Someone will hear us.” Rylands voice softly grazes across my ear. “We’ll just have to be really quiet then.” I glance over to see Aren's eyes darkening with need. ================== ================== Long ago, the Moon Goddess descended from heaven to the earthly plane and gifted animals with the ability to shift into a human form. Mordred's Rebirth

This story is kind of based on the Arthurian legend. ******* He was called many things. Bastard, the False King, The Traitor, Treacherous Knight. Sir Mordred was a villain, one who according to the prophecy of the grand wizard Merlin, would destroy the kingdom of King Arthur Pendragon. And he did but at the cost of his life. As he lay dying on the bloody ground of Camlann after the mighty clash between him and Arthur, a bloody tear fell down his face. All he wanted was to be acknowledged by his father but all the things he did eventually led to disaster. Now with death’s cold hands grasping him, he hoped for a short peace before the fiery rings of hell. But that was not the end of his journey. ******* “Hold up.” “What is that infernal noise?” “Oh my goodness! It's driving me crazy! And it's not stopping!” Mordred sprang awake, slamming his fist on the digital alarm clock on the nightstand. 'What in Merlin's Beard is happening!?', he thought when he realized something. Well, a lot of things. First of all. How the heck is he alive? Second. What is a digital alarm? That's when memories that didn't belong to him flooded his head. They felt familiar but everything was wrong. How the heck is Morgan Le Fay his sister? She was his aunt! And how is the wizard Merlin so young! “Oh. I get it now”. He, Sir Mordred has been reborn in the body of a different version of himself, in a modern and futuristic world where he is the youngest son of Arthur Pendragon. But even in this world, He is the hated son of the High King. "Now what?", Mordred realized that the world he is in now is different from his previous one, with the only familiar details being the names of the people he knew. “Oh? Are you still reading?” Mordred smiled, looking at the readers. “Well, how about you join me on this new crazy journey in a crazy new world of heroes, villains, monsters, and even gods?” “Are you ready?” "Let's go!" ********************************************** The story is loosely based on the Arthurian legend. I am only using the popular names but the plot is different. The story is purely fictional with a few things from the actual legend being incorporated along with some stuff from other popular works. The characters may have different personalities from the original ones from the legend. There will also be names that may seem quite familiar as well. The cover image doesn't belong to me. Please check out my other work: The First Deviation.

The Server's Chronicle: A Fantasy Of Faith

Senior Server Felix stood at the front of the church, his voice steady and solemn as he greeted the congregation. “Our help is in the name of the Lord,” he intoned. “Who made Heaven and Earth,” the people responded in unison, their voices matching his reverent tone. “Today, we initiate new members into this divine and holy Order,” Felix continued. “Today, we welcome new brethren into the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ.” At the back of the church, Louis sat on one of the few single chairs, his posture slightly slouched as his focus remained on a sheet of music in his hands. The title read, "Brightest and Best – Key of A-flat." 'Why didn’t Gramps give me an F or G? A-flat is so difficult, and I only have three days to finish it,' he grumbled silently, his brow furrowing in frustration. But he dared not voice his complaints. He could already imagine his grandfather assigning him even more difficult pieces—F-sharps and endless A-flats—as punishment. From the front of the church, a serene voice called out, “Harry! Step forward!” Louis glanced up, momentarily pulled from his inner musings. His eyes landed on a girl stepping forward from the pews. She had black hair neatly styled in a bun and striking green eyes that seemed to shine with warmth and composure. Dressed in a modest brown dress and black sandals, with a rosary resting gracefully around her neck, she exuded a calm, dignified presence. Her tanned skin and graceful demeanor only added to the aura of reverence surrounding her, befitting an Altar server. 'Sigh,' Louis thought as he brushed a hand through his white hair, his blue eyes softening with a mix of admiration and envy. 'I wonder what it’s like to be an Altar server. They all seem so pure and divine… and powerful.' Just as he returned his attention to his music, a calm, gentlemanly voice spoke beside him. “You could also be an Altar server, if you’re interested.” “Huh?” Louis blurted out, snapping his head to the side. But no one was there. “What in the name of Jesus is going on here?” he muttered, glancing nervously around. “At least you know my name,” the voice replied again, seemingly amused. “What?” Louis whispered, his heart beginning to race. "I'm certain you will be a good server," the voice said, calm yet enigmatic. Louis narrowed his eyes, still searching for its source. "Who are you?" "I have many personalities. I have many names," the voice replied with an air of mystery. "It’s your choice which one you accept." "You’re not making any sense," Louis muttered, growing more unsettled. "Blessed are those who have not seen but believed…" Before Louis could respond, his vision blurred, and the world around him seemed to melt away. He jolted awake, gasping for air. His hands clutched the crumpled sheet of music, its corners bent from his restless grip. His head teetered precariously over the edge of his bed, a faint ache in his neck reminding him of the awkward position he’d been in. "Holy Mother of Jesus!" he exclaimed as he lost his balance, tumbling off the bed in a heap of blankets and scattered papers.

With his weapon, he will take his second chance at life and enjoy journeying with his gun and a fluffy winged companion through the new world he finds himself in. It's a bit of a slow start, but please give it a chance; it may surprise you. (It's definitely surprising me... I have no idea what I'm doing... someone help me...) __________________ This is my first ever novel. In fact, it's kinda the first creative thing I've ever written. So, my writing may change over time as I'm experimenting with different ways to write. __________________ This novel is being posted on Scribblehub, RoyalRoad, and WebNovel. Born of fire and hunger

In the greater part of human kind there resides an instinct for survival. It is this which can clutch at straws and affect a rescue from them. It is this which can, now and then, outwit fate : Tanith Lee There are moments in life when you don't know what to do. Some of these moments can be good, like when a father holds his first newborn baby for the first time and realises he has no idea what to do. Or when somoene who has worked his entire life without stop finally retires and doesn't know what to do with his free time cause he's never had any. An then there's me, somoene about to have possibly the first of many so called "worst day of my life" as I stare at what is most likely a death sentence. You see for contexe, the world I am in is a little strange. Before you make any assumptions, this isn't an isekai where I get whisked off to some fantasy world to fixe some other peoples problems. At least not completely. The world I am in is strange in the fact that about 75 years ago, give or take one or two, a massive portion of the population vanished without a trace. Freaky I know, but not as freaky as when they came back and brought with them "magic". The laws of physics seemed useless and easy to ignore for these people. They could do incredible things. Flying through the air at unimaginable speeds, shooting fire from their fingers, moving mountains with their power. Even freezing time was within their reach. It was safe to say at this point that the world was going to change forever. Now listening to all this you'd probably say, wait Lucien isn't this awesome? Magic powers and all you have to do is dissapear for a while, isn't that a pretty good trade of? And normally you'd be right, but of the approximately 100 million who dissapeared, only 13 million came back. Not very good odds. Those that came back told stories of what they had to do. The trials they had to pass. Now this isn't some tower climbing story like you probably read in those webnovels. Every trial was unique to the person. Some where easy and some landed you in the 83 million that didn't come back. And naturally like any good fantasy story, the great dissapearance, as we came to call it, didn't happen just once. And so my story begins here, in the middle of the road, 75 years after the first great disappearance, staring into dead space. I would guess that the people who saw me would find me weird, after all I was staring at nothing. But I couldn't be bothered with them right now, and the reason was that I was indeed staring at something. Something that would change my fate forever. [Congratulations challenger] [You have been selected for the trial] [You will be transported in 30 seconds] ... Fuck. Author : this novel does have a system but it's not a leveling system, so if that's what you're looking for, this might not be for you.
