Bengal

between the eternity and the rift

The end of the world hides forgotten memories.Death does not mean the end, those unfulfilled obsessions and undissolved emotions will remain in reality in the form of ‘cast-offs’. The ‘recyclers’ are the executors responsible for cleaning up these residual memories. They walk between reality and nothingness, reclaiming the traces of the past and keeping the world in order. Tokiyu travels through the neon rainstorm of Cyber City, carrying out cold recycling tasks: deleting dead AI wife who lost control of her life due to obsession, disintegrating the ghost underground that devours her memories, and putting an end to the gentle curse that imprisons her dead souls with friendship. ...... But she gradually discovers that she can easily do things that are beyond the reach of other recyclers: Molts bow down to her, the memories of the dead flow like poetry in her eyes, and the detector's assessment of her always shows ‘ERROR’. ‘Are you sure you want to reveal the answer?’ The mechanical cherry blossoms in the abandoned lab, the blood-coloured countdown on the coffee machine, the overlapping figures reflected in the underground glass ...... Each case whispers the thinly veiled truth: With every recovery she performs, she's pushing herself over the precipice of existence. Humans use technology to alter the scale of life and death, and the definition of ‘alive’ is rewritten in code! ◆ Cyberpunk aesthetics x Bengali suspense structure x Philosophical discursive core ◆ A hardcore romance between data graveyard and human nature. ◆ In the doomsday scenario of memory entropy increase, asking what it means to be a human being. ‘The meaning of existence lies in choosing how to disappear.’

History of pakistan 1947

On 14 August 1947 (27th of Ramadan in 1366 of the Islamic Calendar) Pakistan gained independence. India gained independence the following day. Two of the provinces of British India, Punjab and Bengal, were divided along religious lines by the Radcliffe Commission. Lord Mountbatten is alleged to have influenced the Radcliffe Commission to draw the lines in India's favour.[39][40][41] Punjab's mostly Muslim western part went to Pakistan and its mostly Hindu and Sikh eastern part went to India, but there were significant Muslim minorities in Punjab's eastern section and light Hindus and Sikhs minorities living in Punjab's western areas. There was no conception that population transfers would be necessary because of the partitioning. Religious minorities were expected to stay put in the states they found themselves residing in. However, an exception was made for Punjab which did not apply to other provinces.[42][43] Intense communal rioting in the Punjab forced the governments of India and Pakistan to agree to a forced population exchange of Muslim and Hindu/Sikh minorities living in Punjab. After this population exchange only a few thousand low-caste Hindus remained in Pakistani Punjab and only a tiny Muslim population remained in the town of Malerkotla in India's part of Punjab.[44] Political scientist Ishtiaq Ahmed says that although Muslims started the violence in Punjab, by the end of 1947 more Muslims had been killed by Hindus and Sikhs in East Punjab than the number of Hindus and Sikhs who had been killed by Muslims in West Punjab.[45][46][47] Nehru wrote to Gandhi on 22 August that up to then, twice as many Muslims had been killed in East Punjab than Hindus and Sikhs in West Punjab.[48] More than ten million people migrated across the new borders and between 200,000 and 2,000,000[49][50][51][52] people died in the spate of communal violence in the Punjab in what some scholars have described as a 'retributive genocide' between the religions.[53] The Pakistani government claimed that 50,000 Muslim women were abducted and raped by Hindu and Sikh men and similarly the Indian government claimed that Muslims abducted and raped 33,000 Hindu and Sikh women.[54][55][56] The two governments agreed to repatriate abducted women and thousands of Hindu, Sikh and Muslim women were repatriated to their families in the 1950s. The dispute over Kashmir escalated into the first war between India and Pakistan. With the assistance of the United Nations (UN) the war was ended but it became the Kashmir dispute, unresolved as of 2021.

AN ANALYSIS ON ARCHAEOLOGICAL SETTLEMENTS IN WEST BENGAL: WITH SPECI

the context of Indian Archaeology as a whole, the archaeology of undivided Bengal is viewed with a general indifference (Chattopadhyay and Sanyal 2006: 1387). 'Bengal' (corresponding to modern West Bengal and the Independent republic or Bangladesh) has long been known to lndologists and antiquarians for its rich archaeological sources dating from prehistoric to later historical times. Hundreds of archaeological sites and artefacts, either from excavated contexts or as stray/chance discoveries and systematic explorations, have been reported from different parts of West Bengal and Bangladesh in the last one and a half centuries. However no specific attempt, even at a preliminary level, has so far been made in spite of a long history or digging and discovery, classification and reproduction and so on, to summary i..e the ·archaeological data of the historical levels of West Bengal and underline their bearing on the development of historical settlements in the region. In the context of historical archaeology in West Bengal, enormous materials datable from c. third century BC to AD twelfth-thirteenth centuries have so far been recorded: Starting from 1928-29 till date, quite a large number of sites with early historic and/or early mediaeval deposits has been subjected to systematic excavations by competent authorities. Several studies conducted by practicing archaeologists have dra\.vn on issues of spatial distribution of sites and the bearing of artefacts on historical trade economy and religion. In spite of the above facts, it has to be noted that studies on spatial distribution as well as na1ure and changing characters of early historic-early mediaeval sites arc yet to be carried out satisfactorily. Furthermore. West Bengal has so far yielded quite a few epigraphic records, datable between the sixth and the twelfth centuries, in the form of copperplate charters recording rural land transaction affairs. Apart from throwing welcome light on the geopolitical dimensions of early mediaeval political history of Bengal, they offer invaluable data on the nature of village level settlements and land related affairs in the territory. Although many villages recorded in the inscriptions have been identified with their modern counterparts, many of them still remain unknown and unidentified.
