Under the Demon's Onyx Shadow: Why Are Demon Lords Obsessed With Me?

Update: Mon, Wed, and Fri [Very Mature and Explicit Content] Amongst the battlefield of death and destruction, a lone warrior, her body ravaged by bone charring burns. Spirits of the recently dead drifted aimlessly, and hungry Burburus devoured both souls and body, sparing only the living and strong-willed. Yet, she found herself fixated on the Demon Lord, Ose, and the fact she is convinced he is in love with her. ... A vile smell rose from the brimstone red of blood and entrails that spilled from allies, foes, and those that were supposed to be protected. Hundreds of bodies blanketed the landscape of debris that was once a great city, wails and cries of the dying were heard over the strong winds, their hands wet as they tried to hold their own life in their wounds. If only she had more training to assist with their injuries, in the knighthood she was groomed for solely combat. The spirits of the recently dead roamed aimlessly, not yet aware they were dead and that they would meet true nonexistence if they were not to seek shelter from the real horror to come. A sense in Yin energy was coming from the vast distance, but she was distracted by the smell and sight of a battle that was truly ungodly; fitting for battles between there armies led by Demons. Above, she could see the sunlight having its own battle with thick clouds that were a profane-black with only a little light caressing her skin, deep as rich earth. The lack of sunlight only made her colder, and fortunately for her more impassive to her surroundings, or that could also be because of the fact that a large part of her body weren't charred until her bones were blackened. Her skin was covered in the soot of the nerves and flesh of her right arm, shoulder, and parts of her torso that were completely disintegrated. "Dammit, Ose," she thought bitterly, her frustration boiling within with each sharp breathe in her chest. "If it wasn't for your ridiculous obsession with me, I wouldn't be here--suffering in hell and then some." Ever since he first laid his eyes on her, she was convinced the Demon Lord had secretly fallen in love with her. The threaded sigil of his eyes that seemed to hold the magic of the aurora lights remained visible on the back of her uniform, though her body was barely there. In the name of her tormentor, the 'Great' Demon Lord Ose, she walked towards the edge of the battlefield.

Villian's Redemption

Most folks join the military to serve their homeland, defend freedom, or chase after glory and honor. Not Malakar. He joined for two simple reasons: money and women. Sergeant Rock had filled his head with promises: knighthood after the war, the adoration of the masses, men envying him, women flocking to him, and even an estate from the Emperor himself. Sounded like a good deal, right? Turns out, it was complete and utter horseshit. The battlefield didn’t smell like glory—it stank of blood, piss, and rotting corpses. Honor? A joke. What greeted him at every corner was death, endless and indiscriminate. But Malakar was nothing if not a man of his word. Sergeant Rock drilled that into him, right between the sword thrusts and the screaming. So, Malakar endured. He followed orders, slaughtered pig-bloods, butchered witches, and carved up state soldiers—all in the vain hope that Rock’s promises would pan out. Spoiler: they didn’t. Zermania lost the war, the Emperor got himself shish-kebabbed by the Sentinel, and Malakar—the so-called “hero”—was branded an enemy of humanity. Hunted down like a rabid dog, he eventually got himself killed. But death, as it turns out, is more of a suggestion than a rule. Fast forward 500 years, and Malakar’s soul has found a new meat suit. He’s alive, some what free, and determined to be a better man. Easier said than done when all you’ve ever known is war and murder. A little slip-up here, a minor incident there… like accidentally catching the eye of the world’s strongest superhero’s daughter or, oops, killing the heir to the most powerful family in existence. Malakar’s trying, really. But being a better man? Let’s just say it’s a work in progress.

Meanwhile, in the real world, Lowo N'air, a young orphan, is caught in the web of two scientists with dark ambitions. One is a pharmaceutical magnate seeking the perfect herb to create an innovative medicine, while the other is a portal technology developer searching for new worlds to conquer. Both seek the power to reshape reality, but their pursuits risk plunging the world into chaos. Fate takes an unexpected twist with the arrival of SIME, a System of Intelligent Multiple Choices. Due to a critical error, the system distorts the characters' desires in unimaginable ways. Little Joe, who once dreamed of becoming the greatest fighter, finds himself connected to a bugged system that strips him of all his abilities, leaving him at the lowest level of degradation, and only grants him insanely useless skills as rewards. As if that weren't enough, Joe also suffers from the bizarre ability to lay golden eggs—a power that brings him wealth but at the cost of his dignity. On the other hand, Lowo N'air, who longed for riches, is granted the potential to become a formidable warrior. Realizing they belong to different worlds yet are connected by shared technology, Joe and Lowo N'air become disillusioned with the absurd swap of their dreams. United in their frustration, Joe resolves to challenge and modify the very System that altered his destiny, while Lowo rebels, believing that no one should have the power to dictate their dreams.

She lifted a hand to his bare chest, trailing her fingers slowly over his well defined muscles. His skin was warm beneath her fingertips and his breath caught in his throat as he trembled beneath her touch, He lifted a hand to reciprocate her ministrations and she stepped back. "Please Lynn..." He whispered in a low, breathy tone. And by the creator, his words had her quivering in her need for him... A young man from a large city state awakens his potential and starts to walk the path of Knighthood. A terrifying secret hidden within the World was about to be unraveled and the age of Humanity was on the horizon. ------------------------------------- *Expect a weak to strong novel were the protagonist is not overpowered like the other novels on this site. He does have his own advantages which obviously make him different but he not able to skip realms and fight those on a higher cultivation than him. The lines in the sand are clearly drawn in this novel. In addition, don't think that every character belongs to a traditional character archetype like "friend", "enemy" or "love interest". I wrote this with character development in mind, as their views and values shift and change as the novel progresses (expect this a lot from the protagonist). Lastly, this novel is not all about fighting and becoming stronger. Progression of strength is definitely present but not the end goal. Like I said before, "character development" is more important. I chose a relatively young age for the protagonist so his beliefs aren't yet fully formed. This is to introduce new ideas and other stuff to progress the story more. Anyway, this isn't for everyone. Please enjoy and comment on whether you like it or if it could use some work!

The Shadow of Great Britain

“Next, we have the most noble recipient of the Order of the Garter, the Grand Cross of Saint Michael and Saint George, the Grand Cross of the Bath, the Victoria Cross and the lower grades of Knighthood, the leader of the anti-colonial movement, the bell-ringer of the East India Company, the hero of the Crimean War, a Fellow of the Royal Society, a lifelong dear friend of literary giants such as Dickens and Great Dumas, a steadfast supporter of scientific luminaries like Faraday and Darwin, having served as assistant under-secretary, deputy under-secretary, and permanent under-secretary in departments of the Home Office and the Navy Department of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, the inaugural Cabinet Secretary and head of the civil service, the first graduate and most distinguished alumnus of our school. Please welcome Sir Arthur Hastings to deliver a speech on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the University of London.” Arthur's gaze swept across the crowd before him, looking at the young faces and murmured, “Agares, what do you think I should say?” The Red Devil's wraith hovered behind him, saliva almost dribbling from the corner of his mouth, “Look at these ignorant souls; they still worship you as a hero. Why not say something they'd like to hear?” Arthur took a deep breath and let out a deafening roar, “Oxford is a bunch of whores' bastards!” “Oh!!!!” The audience erupted into thunderous applause. “Cambridge is the same!” he added immediately. The applause grew even more fervent... (The protagonist, possessed by a devil, travels through 19th-century Britain in a world without magic)

Seclusion Of A Knight - Origins Of The Seven Volume 2

""Behold the origin story of the famed and wildest hero, Brad Silverhilt, one of the Seven Harbingers. Their arrival heralded a new age of great impact on the World of Aerkha." "Amidst the implementation of the reformed knighthood system, the noble knights found themselves confined within the boundaries of their cities, their desires to reclaim their former powers fueling their resistance against the new order. Unyielding in their determination, they clung to the hope of regaining control, strategically sending their noble offspring as candidates for knighthood within the revamped system. Meanwhile, King Illuen D'harven, the esteemed High Commander and mastermind behind the new knighthood system, remained resolute in his conviction that true heroes would only emerge through arduous and disciplined training. He firmly championed the idea that equal rights should be bestowed upon every candidate within the newly established knighthood system. Only the passage of time would determine whether his idealistic vision or the pragmatic approach would prevail. However, among the ranks of the knights, a singular candidate who joined their esteemed order during the fourth year of the Unified Illuthar Kingdom would soon come to realize that in order to reshape the very fabric of the world's narrative, he must undergo a profound metamorphosis within a remarkably brief span of fewer than ten years." Author's Note to Reader: "Dear Reader, the Origins of The Seven series comprises separate books featuring the backstory of seven heroes, and there is no specific reading order." This novel, written in the tradition of classic fantasy, aims to weave a tapestry akin to the illustrious campaign tales such as Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms, while retaining its own unique essence. It could be marked as my fourth attempt in the last fifteen years, but the second to be published here or anywhere. Previously, I was hesitant to share my work, but now I am eager to receive any criticism. Therefore, dear reader, I implore you to provide your comments freely. Your thoughts are invaluable to me. Thank you in advance, and I hope you relish this tale.
