The Sleepless Veil
In the world of Aedra, dreams do not merely exist in slumber—they shape reality. The Veil, an ethereal boundary, separates the waking world from the Somnisphere, a realm where thought can mold landscapes, and memories become tangible. Those who wield the Dreamborn Arts—Lucids, Weavers, Sleepwalkers, Echoes, and Hollows—command the essence of the dreamscape itself.
But something is shifting.
Yeaia Nolas, a wanderer neither wholly real nor wholly dream, walks the liminal spaces between the worlds. Marked by an eye that sees beyond time and a past lost in the unraveling tides of forgotten history, they are drawn to the whispers of the Unremembered—souls erased from existence, lingering at the edges of oblivion. When the ancient Forgotten City begins to stir, revealing pathways that should not exist, Yeaia is thrust into a mystery older than the Veil itself.
The Awakened Choir seeks to merge dreams and reality into one endless vision. The Hollowed Crown hungers to consume the last remnants of the Somnisphere. And deep beneath the ruins, something ancient and dreaming begins to wake—something that should never have been forgotten.
As the Veil weakens and the world teeters on the brink of unraveling, Yeaia must navigate treacherous alliances, eldritch horrors, and the weight of a fate they may not be able to escape.
Because in Aedra, to dream is to create.
And to forget… is to cease to exist.
