Nagi’s typical laid-back school life gets turned upside down when he accidentally witnesses Kotegawa Ayano, the school's most outgoing girl, secretly practice confessing her love by kissing a statue. On the other hand, Ayano also discovers his much kept secret of being an otaku light novel author wannabe! To keep her mouth shut, Nagi gets involved with the school's ultimate social butterfly in a quest of conquering her romantic troubles. This sets the stage for an unusual partnership between an introverted loner and the queen of congeniality which leads to a series of conical and awkward situations!
