Life was tough for Andri. From his birth, till his death, he felt as if the plot of his life were written up by a fickle god who wanted a laugh at his misery; he felt that he had a greater chance of catching lightning in a bottle than experiencing a few weeks of peace. The part of his life he spent at the orphanage, the part where he lived on the streets, the part where he scrounged up enough money doing odd jobs to finally have a roof over his head only for it to go up in flames, all of it crescendoed in him growing more bitter by the day. Bitter enough to grow jaded, yet not enough to grow mad. But even for someone living a life as dim as Andri, sparks of joy were still present, namely so, in virtual worlds. Whenever he managed to save up extra cash after paying for his necessities it would promptly be emptied out for a few hours of gaming at the only establishment that would accept him. Andri knew that this vice wasn't healthy or financially sustainable, yet he felt that these scattered moments of joy were all that he looked forward to in life, and as such, he continued. Through a series of unfortunate events, Andri finds himself inches from death in a dark alley, the streetlights shattered and the gloom of his surroundings encouraging his eyes to shut. The moment his eyes collapse unwillingly on themselves is the moment our story begins. P.S. The main character isn't a ruthless unfeeling monster, he has lived a life in a world similar to ours (albeit a shit life) and still has baseline morals. If there is a way to accomplish his goals without causing unnecessary harm, he will do that. In fact, some of his kind acts will be too much for the average "evil mc fanatic" to ignore, if that's the case then I guess this novel may not be for you, this is a good guy who isn't afraid to be ruthless, nothing more. ---------------------- Hello everyone!
