Tree Reincarnation

Void Tree Chronicles

Wes Carter is dying. A black sword pulses with corruption in his chest, his strength fading as blood seeps into the battlefield. He has no regrets—his people escaped, the war was fought, and he killed the man with void-black eyes. But it wasn’t enough. It never was. As darkness claims him, two figures appear—enigmatic, powerful, and knowing. And with cruel certainty, they reveal a truth that shatters everything Wes believed: His future was stolen. Wes remembered that day. The day, as a child, he met the man with void-black eyes. The man who stood before him, bathed in the blood of those Wes cherished. The man who could have killed him but didn’t. Instead, he burned Wes’s soul, severing something deep within him. That was the day everything changed. That was the day he became a Null. He should have been able to claim a Void Crystal, to rise like the others. Instead, he was cut off from that power, forced to forge his own way through Essence alone. And despite that, despite everything, he became peerless, a warrior standing at the edge of the Grand Stage—the universe beyond Earth’s wars. And then, all these years later, that same man returned. Not alone. This time, he led an army—not just soldiers, but Fallen, beings marked by corruption, their eyes the same void-black as his own. They descended upon Wes with overwhelming force, and though he fought, though he killed his greatest enemy, it still wasn’t enough. More questions than answers. Why had his future been stolen? Why had that man, all those years ago, chosen to cripple him instead of killing him? Now, as Wes breathes his last, the two figures offer him something impossible: A second chance. They will sever the future—a phrase Wes doesn’t yet understand—but before he can question it, they shove a black seed, dark as night, into his chest. And then—rebirth. No longer fighting for survival in a dying world, he enters a new era—one where humanity has rebuilt, where Void Crystals, Essence, and Mana-Tech shape civilization, and where the truth of the universe is within reach. Yet, the past is not erased. The man with void-black eyes may be dead, but the forces behind him still move. The answers he seeks are still out there. And this time, he will find them. Monsters. Rival races. Forgotten legends. The enemies lurking beyond the void. This time, Wes Carter will not be denied. His rise is inevitable.

REINCARNATION 101

Life is like an egg... I don't know why I said that. This world isn't at all what I thought it would be. I was ready for the butterfly effect, but not to this extent. Sure, I turned a few bad guys into good ones, but the system's idea of "fixing" the narrative? Completely idiotic. And that's why I hate the fucking system. When I find the bastard who transmigrated me, I'll kick his ass—then maybe thank him for bringing me here. Anyway, you're probably wondering why I'm yapping. Well, it's because I got reincarnated as the female lead. One minute, I'm living my normal life, heading home after work. The next, I’m the princess of an empire. Naturally, I did what any reincarnator would do—I got involved in the narrative. Oh, but then I realized, no one else really does that. Most reincarnators are born as side characters, only aiming to help the protagonist from the shadows. They claim they won’t interfere or change the story, acting all sneaky and pulling strings from behind. But let's be honest—they're stupid. I’m not like them. Since I was born as the female lead, I molded the narrative to my will. And here I am. I admit, things got a little messed up, but I wasn’t the only one who knew the future. Who knew that shitty system regressed people too? Anyway, my interference caused the system to malfunction. It broke down, unable to maintain balance, and now, thanks to me, this world is system-free. That caused a few problems since the system kept certain things in check, but who cares? The story goes on. Maybe I went a bit too far, like when I made that one-time villain a professor. But he's a good guy now, just a little broken... and maybe possessed... or maybe he did massacre a village in the original novel. But, but that didn’t happen this time because I’m here. This time, he saved a lot of people, including me, and now he’s living a happy life. All because of me. So yes, I am a great person. Honestly, this story is more about him than just me. Oh, and there’s another guy too. Yeah, he’s a joy. The side character that everyone scorned is now a protagonist alongside me and the villain-turned-professor. So, we're all rejects and outcasts. Stick around to find out what kind of crazy shit the three of us pulled off. We’re the self-made protagonists of what was supposed to be a typical tragic romance novel. Oh shit... what happened to the original protagonist and his group? I totally forgot about them. --- "Welcome to my novel! As a new writer, I'm excited to share my story with you. Please bear with me if my English isn't perfect - I'm doing my best to improve. The story is also going to be pretty slow at the start(almost till 45, but from then we go into a normal pace), but stick around if that's your taste. Update Schedule: New chapters will be posted every day except a Monday or a Wednesday. Occasionally, I might surprise you with an extra chapter on certain days. Get in Touch: If you'd like to contact me, feel free to DM me on Instagram @kaixuanblackwood. I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my novel!"
