Also known as the day the world had one common goal, survive. With the appearance of portals that are connected to another world filled with monsters that threatened humanity the world was desperate for a way to fight back. Until after weeks of research they found something, a metal only found near portals they called it krill. It was found that if krill was forged into a bar and held by a person it transforms into a weapon that is fit for its owner, it gave its owners superhuman abilities and powers like conjuring fire or water and more importantly it gave humanity the power to kill monsters and to retake what's theirs

humanity has retaken most of its land and is thriving with the power of krill. And the people who use krill or also known as hunters are now one of the most sought after jobs and fastest way to get rich and popular, But not everyone can get a krill weapon strong enough to fight against monsters, it can turn out to be a simple short sword that barely gives its owner any increase in their physical ability or have a useful ability and one of those unlucky people is a young man named Lloyd Crane
