Chambermaid

Persephone is forced to go work in the notorious Ice King's esteemed castle as his chambermaid. When she gets off on the wrong foot with his majesty, her fate at the castle was already written for her. She must hold herself back from making matters for herself worse, however, this is difficult when her morality gets in the way of the King's wrath. Will she be able to survive without any harm? Or will she ignite something in him more dangerous than his anger?

[Warning R18] Salty droplets fall to her lips. “Will you kill me?” She whispers. “I may if permitted.” He told her truthfully. She laid back down and clutched her shoulders. “Soon?” Her voice cracked this time. His eyebrows lifted as his lip twitched. His face was comforting and gentle at that moment. He looked at her as if she was a younger sibling who had gotten into trouble with their parents. In a flash, he wiped the vulnerability from his face leaving the hard unforgiving mask in its place. “When justice calls for you” He promised. “Now you’re awake, you will wash and dress. You will eat and we will resume our conversation.” He ordered. “You're injured so you will get help from our chambermaids.” Anela was in a state of shock until she realised something. ’Ah… I’ll be watched so I don’t run. Fed so I won’t exactly starve. And cleaned so I don’t spoil. I thought they’d just kill me. I didn’t know they’d keep me as a pet.’ Her stomach started to flip with this sinister thought. He left—each footstep ringing in her ears.
