Baby For Christmas

Christmas With You

Powei is twenty years old, she was born and raised in a Christian household family of four. She has three older brothers and she's the last born. It's her final year in university studying mass communication at a private university and it's the end of the first semester which means Christmas is approaching. Powei doesn't want to go home to her family but she can't stay in school either because it would be closed. Having no other choice, Powei goes home for the holidays and it's just her immediate older brother who's going to be home for the holidays with her. The first son, Tamuno, is happily married and lives in London with his family. The second son, Deinyefa is currently preparing for his bar finals in the law school so he doesn't want to come home and her parents excused her. Which leaves her and Tari home for Christmas. Things take a surprising turn when their mother insists that they would be spending Christmas at her older sister's family home this time since their father wouldn't be home for Christmas. Powei isn't surprised by this because her father is never around for anything that has to do with celebrations. All he does is send money. Powei feels like the change of environment could be great for her and she's excited to visit her aunty. Donald Ebiowei (22) doesn't understand why his parents insist that they have to fly in to Nigeria for the Christmas holidays this year. Since they arrived in the United States more than twenty years ago when he was just a kid, their entire life has been here. This year, his parents insist that they spend Christmas at their family home in Nigeria. Donald and his family of four eventually fly into Nigeria and this sets the pace for unprecedented activities in his life. Donald thought Christmas would be completely uneventful but meeting Powei changed everything for him. But it gets even more intriguing when Powei and Donald's relationship stirs up drama in the family. There's a history of betrayal between both families and for decades, both families swore to never be as close as they used to be. Would the two eventually overcome the family history between them? Or would they let the past affect their present. Or, would they just live in the moment and enjoy Christmas.

For Me, For Us, For Everyone

Cigarette smoke curls in the stagnant air, the dim glow of a dying bulb casting twisted shadows against the walls littered with half-torn articles and red-thread connections. Somewhere between the ink-stained papers and the scattered pills, a man sits—silent, unmoving, staring blankly at a stuffed monkey in a clown suit. A detective, they call him. A man of justice, a solver of mysteries. But behind the applause and empty praises, behind the sharp smiles and hollow congratulations, he is nothing but a walking contradiction—one hand holding a case file, the other exchanging cash for little plastic sachets. His mind is a labyrinth of voices, whispers that coil around his thoughts like suffocating vines. His brother grins at him from the corners of his vision, eyes glinting with the truth he refuses to face. His father’s voice is gentle, forgiving—too forgiving. Too much for a man who doesn’t deserve it. Each pill swallowed is another step into the illusion, another moment of stolen happiness before the weight of reality drags him under. He walks the city streets, drowning in faces that admire him, loathe him, see him as something he is not. He is both a hero and a villain, a detective and a criminal, a man trying to outrun the past while shackled to its corpse. And at the end of the night, when the echoes of the world fall away, all that remains is the darkness, the whispers, and the suffocating truth—he can never escape them.

These Babies Are Not Yours, Alpha Axton

[WSA 2025 ENTRY] In Cinder Pack, one of the powerful seven packs, abandoned children on the streets are considered less than the pets owned by many households. They live from hand-to-mouth, covered in dirt and used however those from better families deem fit all their life. As a result, many of them die from starvation at a very young age and those with good-looking appearances sell themselves off to better families as slaves in order to live. While a select few resort to stealing food and taking the crumbs that fall off the table of those of noble birth. This is the case for Aurelia Night and her childhood best friend, Lydia Hayes. But on a night she went to find them dinner, she overhears a conversation she shouldn’t have and becomes a target for a ruthless and dangerous Councilam. Left with no choice, she runs into the room of a stranger to hide. A stranger who claimed her as his mate. But being wolfless, she has no idea what this means and just goes along with him since he was a noble man. But as she returns to her friend the next morning, Aurelia finds out Lydia had sold her out to the Councilman in return for a better life. Now seven years later, with no memory of who she is, she unknowingly crosses path again with the stranger from that night. “Mate!” The Alpha suddenly stopped in the middle of his hunt as his nose caught a familiar scent. Well hidden in a spot, two boys snicker amongst themselves as they watched the Alpha look around in confusion. “Is that the Alpha? Doesn’t look like one to me.” “He keeps coming after our pack and mommy. What do we do?” “I have an idea!” Three hours later when the Alpha returned from his walk, he was greeted by the news of his twin sons coming to his abode. What? Twin sons? When he finally accepted the news, the woman they called mommy tried to leave. “Where do you think you’re going? I’m not getting married to you because I want to. I’m getting married to you because my sons need their mother.” Aurelia: “…” When she finally found her voice, she snapped at him. “What are you talking about? Who said they are your sons?” The man pretended to calculate with his fingers before nodding his head a little. “The date we slept together match their date of birth and they look a lot like me. Who can deny such paternity!” Unknown to him, her reappearance in the pack was of no other reason, than to take his life.
