Chapter 38 - Rampage in the Police Station

"If you receive treatment in time, and recuperate carefully, then it might have a chance to recover." Bai Lu squatted down and observed the leg that was bent in an awkward angle. "Hmm, the blood is very red. The pants have been soaked through in such a short amount of time. The quality is pretty good. What is it made out of? How much did you buy it for?"

After he said these words, he walked to the guy that was furthest away. That guy had secretly been dialing 110 with his phone. Bai Lu planted his feet firmly on the ground and kicked with great ferocity. That guy was sent flying three meters away like a sandbag. In less than a second, he started spitting out blood.

"Hurry up and call the cops. Oh yes, I need to make a call." Bai Lu had an icy gaze; He looked at each of the six of them one by one.

This place was located near the school. It was the residential area, so there were a lot of passers-by. Since Bai Lu started fighting, the pedestrians stopped walking and kept their distance. From afar, they observed the fight, and some meddlesome people even wanted to take out their phones to snap a photo.

Bai Lu was not pleased about this at all.

In the desert, he was taught that he should either restrain himself from attacking or launch an attack without mercy.

Those elites amongst the disreputable people even demanded him to not leave any evidence behind no matter what he was doing.

He looked at the bunch of people in the dozens which were slowly increasing in population. These were important witnesses. However, Bai Lu was not bothered at all, and he thought, "It doesn't matter if there are witnesses. As long as the victims do not dare to file a lawsuit, then everything would be fine."

Therefore, Bai Lu squatted in front of Gai Le once more. "Make the call to release the girls."

At this moment, Gai Le's phone rang. He was hesitating about whether he should pick up the phone. Also, it was because he was hurting all over so he couldn't move around.

"Answer it. Nevermind. I am a good person; I will help you with it." Bai Lu helped him to take out his phone, and he looked at the screen. It was his father that was displayed on the Caller ID. "It is your dad. I will help you to connect the call."

After the call was connected, Bai Lu did not say anything. But on the other end, there was an angry voice from someone who was seething with rage. "Brat, where are you? You piece of shit. Hurry up and get your ass back here..." There was a relentless barrage of insults that ensued. Bai Lu shifted the phone a little further away, and he said, "Your father has a bad temper. Something must have happened. Do you need me to help you to console him?"

As he said these words, he was already aware of what He San Qing and friends have done.

They were young masters, so they were different from Bai Lu. When they wanted something to be done, they did not have to do it themselves. Of course, they also did not have to pursue or block people like hired thugs.

Since they have decided to launch an offensive, they attacked the critical points and destroyed their enemies. Their operation was comprehensive.

Gai Le hated him to the core and stared at him with killer intent. His eyes were burning with rage. So Bai Lu went straight for his eyes and punched him. "I do not like the way that you are looking at me. Why? You dislike me?" After he realized that He San Qing was also involved, Bai Lu immediately changed his attitude. He no longer needed to be cautious as there was someone behind his back no matter what.

Therefore, he knew that the pedestrians would call the cops. But yet, he did not care and continued to torment Gai Le.

"If you look at me like this again, I will gouge out your eyeballs. Do you believe me or not?" Bai Lu's tone became even icier.

After he tormented Gai Le, he walked over to another familiar man. It was the tall guy that looked down on him yesterday night. "You were pretty arrogant yesterday. I will look over the fact that you scolded me. But you even tried to hit me? I will leave you a memento so that you will always think about me in the future." He grabbed his wrists and twisted with both hands. With a loud sound "Kappa," his arms were broken.

The tall guy wailed loudly, and Bai Lu said, "Keep it down. I do not like it when someone has a louder voice than me."

This guy was insane. He fought six people at once by himself. Then he crippled two of them and injured another with a powerful kick. The remaining three people were so scared that they did not dare to move. They were afraid that this guy would target them next.

Bai Lu was not interested with the other guys. He waited until the person on the other side of the call stopped cursing. Then he calmly said, "Your son has broken his leg. Should I send him to the hospital?" Then he hung up the call and walked back in front of Gai Le. "Make the call to release the girls."

Then he stuffed the phone back into his hands.

Gai le was a little hesitant. He realized that this person standing in front of him was a madman who was capable of anything. After all, Bai Lu broke the wrists of the tall guy in the presence of so many bystanders. He trembled with fear.

His hands shivered as he tried to raise his phone. Coincidentally, his dad called again. The call was connected. "Le, are you alright? Le, who have you offended? What is going on?"

Gai Le was at a loss for words. Bai Lu sighed, and he ended the call. "Hurry up and call the cops. I will count to three. If you do not make the call, then I will break your other leg." As he finished his declaration, he stood up and examined the other good leg.

Gai Le jolted, and he no longer had any hesitation. He hurriedly called the police on his phone. "Brother Chang, Brother Chang. Release the two girls. It was a misunderstanding—"

Before he could finish his sentence, there was a police vehicle that drove into the main road and arrived at the crime scene. Two cops stepped out of the car, and one of them was holding his gun. He aimed it at Bai Lu and shouted, "Get down."

It was the bystanders that called the cops. By dialing 110, they were dispatched quickly. Under the new regulations, as long as there was no external interference, the police would show up in no time.

On a usual police dispatch, there would be two to three cops depending on the shift timing and regional variance.

When they arrived at the small alley, the police officer that was driving the car felt something was unusual. Six people were lying on the ground with blood splattered around. There seemed to be some people with broken limbs, and the only person who was moving was a guy with a bald hairstyle. In other words, it was a guy with a prison camp criminal hairstyle. Also, he had a brazen demeanor. In the subconscious mind of the police officers, they had already associated him with a criminal.

Bai Lu looked at the gun. He cooperated and raised both of his hands. Then he got down on the floor.

The other cop rushed forward at once. To deal with this kind of dangerous criminal, he would handcuff him first before anything else. Afterward, he dragged Bai Lu into the police vehicle and dialed 120 for the ambulance.

Half an hour later, in the interrogation room of the police station on the Arts School Road, Bai Lu sat on a single chair. His handcuff was removed, and on the opposite of him sat a cop with a round face. "Tell me, what happened back there?"

Typically, fighting and assault would not constitute a serious offense, so the police would not interfere. Even though it was one vs. six, with three people that were severely injured, but these were not important. The most important thing was how much money would both sides be willing to pay to settle this issue.

The cops were fine if they had a private settlement. When they brought him to the police station, they did not confiscate his phone. Clearly, they wanted both parties to work their magic like the Chinese folklore of the Eight Immortals crossing the sea, each showing their unique talent. Since he was daring enough to cripple the others, he would either have ample financial power or sufficient political backing. He should have some ways to solve this kind of problem. However, if he did not have any of those, then he would have to face a real investigation, and he would be convicted depending on the severity of the damage that he had inflicted.

At this moment, Gai Le and the others were receiving treatment at the public hospital. The doctor would issue a medical statement, and if they were not able to reach a private settlement, this document would be enough evidence to send Bai Lu into prison.

Hearing the question from the cop, Bai Lu said, "I was defending myself legitimately. They came towards me with steel rods and knives, so I was terrorized. I ran all the way from the entrance of the school to the housing area, and they caught up to me, so I had no choice but to fight back. There are surveillance cameras in front of the school. You guys can investigate the video footage."

"I do not need you to teach me what to do." The cop was writing the information down on the interrogation record. According to the current situation of the victims, the chances of a private settlement would not be very high. It constituted a severe injury, so it was a criminal offense.

The door of the room suddenly swung open. A middle-aged man in his 50s walked in. He pointed his finger at Bai Lu and started scolding. "You are going to hell."

The cop with a round face wanted to reprimand him and ask him to get out. But he suddenly realized that there was a cop that was hiding behind the middle-aged man. He was in the police uniform, but he wasn't wearing a cap. On his shoulders were two stripes and three stars, which made the cop with a round face stand up immediately.

He did not know who these two people were, so he kept quiet. Behind these two people was the chief of this police station, he wore casual attire and had a stern expression on his face. He asked, "Why is this guy not in handcuffs?"

The cop with a round face understood the moment that he heard it. It must be that the victim has found support. Without any explanation, he walked over to Bai Lu with the handcuffs.

Bai Lu did not resist and allowed him to put on the handcuffs.

The chief of the police station instructed him. "You may leave now."

The cop with a round face said yes, and he looked at Bai Lu with an expression of pity. Then he left the room.

The chief looked at Bai Lu without saying a word, and then he left the room as well. The high-ranking police officer with two stripes and three stars also did not say a word and left the room. The middle-aged man looked coldly at Bai Lu, and he said, "You are going to hell."

After he declared such words, the door of the room burst open, and eight young guys who were armed with batons rushed in. The three standing in front were armed with stun batons, while the other people behind were holding clubs. The middle-aged man urged lightly. "Try not to kill him." And he left the room. The door shut close.

"What the hell. This place is the Northern City. How dare they commit such atrocious acts beneath the Son of Heaven?" Bai Lu thought. He sighed and stood up on his feet.

The three guys who were armed with the stun baton primed their weapon. The ends of the batons glowed with a blue spark. Then the three of them surrounded him from all directions. They raised the stun batons and charged forward.

It was getting serious. Bai Lu hooked the stool with his feet and launched it at the person that was facing him. He took half a step backward and sent out a flying kick to the side. His feet landed on the face of one of the guys that were holding the stun baton. Then he pounced forward and charged into the group of people. He raised both of his hands and slammed his handcuffs onto them. With fleet footwork, he casually used his knee to ram into someone. In an instant, he took down three guys.

The first guy was the fellow holding the stun baton, who was sent flying back by his kick. Unfortunately, the stun baton was strapped around his wrist. When he fell, the stun baton went down with him, and he lost consciousness. The third guy was kneed in his abdomen; He clasped his tummy and lost the will to fight.

Witnessing the ferocity of this man, the other five guys separated and a path was created in the middle. The two guys holding the stun baton continued to charge forward. But this time, they were more cautious and steady. Together, they launched a tag-team move on Bai Lu.

The guy on the floor who was using the stun baton was trying to stand up. Bai Lu went over and kicked with great power. With this kick, he slid all the way to the other guy who was holding the stun baton, and his eyes went black.

Bai Lu rushed forward, but the third guy with the stun baton re-positioned himself behind him. He raised the baton with the flashing blue spark and thrust it towards Bai Lu's back.

Bai Lu instantly dodged to the side. He spun on the spot and extended his right leg. Like a rotating windmill, it landed with high speed on the wrist of the attacker and a sound "Kacha" was heard. His wrist was broken; The baton and his hand sagged down softly.

In a short amount of time, he had taken care of four guys. There were still three guys with clubs and one guy with a stun baton left. Bai Lu laughed nastily and gazed toward them. "Come on. Don't be shy. Come over here."

As he said those words, he stomped his feet repeatedly. The three unlucky fools that were lying close to him had both their hands broken. They wailed loudly from the immense pain.

The four remaining people were getting scared. This man had an overwhelming Power Level! All his moves were brutal and merciless. They exchanged glances with each other, and the guy holding the stun baton clenched his jaw. "Let's attack together." He raised his stun baton and charged forward.

"Are you an idiot?"

His actions were much faster than his words. When Bai Lu finished saying those four words, the guy had already been smashed in the head by the handcuffs and had collapsed right away. Not long after, blood started oozing out from the top of his skull. It was unclear whether he was dead or alive.

"Damn it. This man dares to murder someone in the police station?" The remaining three people did not even have to think about it, as they ran away immediately.

Outside the door stood the middle-aged man, the police with two strips and three stars, and also the chief of the police station. They were waiting around, without speaking. Suddenly, they saw the door busted open and three men running out. They did not know what was going on, so the chief kicked open the door to observe the situation in the room.

There were five people in total. Three of them were wailing in pain while holding their wrists. The other two were unconscious, and one of them even had a severe injury on his head with blood flowing out.

The chief instinctively shut the door of the room and shouted. "Help!"

With a booming sound, four to five police officers ran over. "Chief, what's the matter?"

The chief had a gloomy expression that was as still as water. He thought for a moment and kept quiet. Then he ran back to his office to retrieve his gun.
