At Six Desires Heaven, on an ordinary mountaintop, was an ancient temple.
At this moment, a man in tattered clothing was walking up the stairs outside the ancient temple with heavy footsteps, and he seemed a little tired. The ancient trees on both sides of the stairs swayed gently, covering the steps full of leaves. That figure, climbing up, seemed a little lonesome.
As he climbed up, he came to the very top of the staircase, where a monk was sweeping the leaves. When he saw someone came up the stairs, he stopped what he was doing and said to the man while looking at him, "Sir, this temple is not accepting donations or visitors."
The man nodded gently as he clasped his hands in front of him and said to the monk, "I passed by here because of chance alone. Or perhaps this was destiny. May I stay in this temple for a while?"
