When she took out her phone, her blood seemed to curdle and a chill ran down her spine.
It was an unknown number.
Her trembling finger swiped across the screen and she heard that familiar and terrifying processed voice on the other end.
"An Xiaxia."
Taking a deep breath, An Xiaxia said calmly, "It's me."
"I told you, your family will die if you try to look for me!" The voice sounded like a hysterical animal.
An Xiaxia smiled confidently. "They're protected by the best bodyguards. You'll never get to them."
She was no longer that timid and incompetent girl. She now had enough resources to keep her family safe!
The mysterious caller chuckled coldly. "Just wait and see! You're going to pay for this!"
"Who on earth are you? Why do you want to ruin my life? What have I ever done to you?" An Xiaxia pressed.
The call ended abruptly.
