"Hey, hey, hey, little brat, has Yak messed with your head?"
In the dungeon, the person who said this to Thales was not the sardonically laughing Losang II, but Miss Sherryl Kevendill, standing to the side with her arms akimbo and frowning.
She raised her hand, incredulous:
"Being conservative is one thing, but what are you trying to do now? Reform a murderer?"
Thales politely pursed his lips, exhaling a breath amongst the nearly breathless laughter of Losang II.
"Of course not," he pondered as he looked at the now ebbing laughter of the Vampire Assassin, "no one in this world can be influenced, only awakened by themselves."
"Tsk, tsk," responded Miss Sherryl with a disdainful snort, "It's truly a pity that you didn't join the Church as a preacher."
Thales did not respond; he simply turned his head and gave Miss Sherryl a faint smile.
"Who do you think you are, little brat?"
The captives voice rose timely:
"The compassionate Prophet Mohasa, perhaps?"
