The others were full of suspicion.
"You know each other?" Uncle Hauser asked, his eyes filled with doubt.
"They know each other!" Priest Chadwei let out a huge sigh of relief.
"You're both called Wyatt?" Dorothy asked, curious.
"They're both called Wyatt!" Sherryl said with disdain, her gloves reappearing on her hands.
"Yes, we know each other, and it's precisely because of our shared name," Thales replied awkwardly, turning back to wave at the residents around him, "It's okay, nothing to see here, just old friends, no big deal, no need to gawk..."
But his call to action clearly had limited influence, as no one in the tunnel heeded his call, and the people still surrounded the entrance, their eyes full of hostility towards Rolff.
