Thales remained silent for a long time, lost in myriad thoughts. A part of those recollections was his adventure with Miranda in Dragon Sky City, while another part was mostly associated with the "Covenant" bone ring.
Eventually, he sighed, turned his back on Miranda's intense gaze, stepped past the chair that had served its time, and took a seat on the desk with a thump.
If Wet Nurse Valencia were here, she would probably be scolding the Duke with a stern face for his indecorous and unruly posture.
But she wasn't.
