He sat up in a hurry, his face a mask of shock and worry.
The woman who slept behind him clung to his naked body. She asked with concern, "Honey, who it is so early in the morning?"
Ye Shen acted as if he didn't hear her. His face became paler like lightning had just struck him.
"Shen Shen, what's wrong with you?" The woman asked.
"Everything's wrong!" Ye Shen hung up his phone with shaking fingers and quickly leaped out of bed.
"What do you mean by that? Tell me, maybe I can help…" The woman grumbled unsatisfactorily and tried to pull him back.
"Get lost—" Ye Shen shoved her away roughly, his entire body a ball of fury.
Not long after, he stormed out the Ye mansion's front door, not even fully dressed. He climbed into his car and slammed down on the fuel pedal.
Xinghe, who stood beside her bedroom window, smirked as she watched the car driving away.
That should keep him busy for a while.
