Di Fuyi pondered for a moment before putting the diamond on her palm. "You can do the same," he said.
Gu Xijiu examined the diamond, but could not find anything special about it. She then started to move her finger on the diamond, but could barely leave any mark on it. Perplexed, she looked at him for guidance. Di Fuyi gave her a delightful smile before applying a layer of cream on the diamond. After a while, he gave it back to her. "Try again."
Gu Xijiu tried again and managed to carve the diamond into the shape of a flower. Startled, she asked, "What cream did you apply? How does it soften the diamond?"
"It is not actually a diamond, but a lookalike. Without the cream, it looks no different from a diamond. Once applied, the cream will completely unmask its true property." He continued, "I wanted to show it to you for fun; never knew that it would get us out of a problem."
