The clerk in the blue robe caught sight of the token and a hint of astonishment flickered across his face, but it vanished as quickly as it appeared, and he spoke nonchalantly:
"Although this token looks decent, it needs to be appraised by the manager before we can determine its value."
"Take it then," Liu Ming said with a flash of his eyes as he waved his hand.
After giving Liu Ming a deep look, the clerk in the blue robe held the token with both hands and scurried towards the back of the store.
Not long after, the clerk ran back out, his expression respectful as he returned the token to Liu Ming, then bowed and said,
"Sir, the manager invites you in."
Liu Ming, expression unchanged, tucked the token back at his waist and stood up. He waved to Sha Chu'er and then motioned for the clerk in the blue robe to lead the way.
Shortly after, the clerk led them through the back courtyard to the innermost room.
