"The seven emotions and the six sensory pleasures?"
Xu Que was surprised by Zixia Fairy's words.
He knew something about the seven emotions and the six sensory pleasures, which were worldly desires of most people! For example, there were many explanations for the seven emotions, among which the most popular two versions were "greed, anger, ignorance, hatred, love, desire, and evil" and "happy, angry, depressed, thoughtful, sad, scared, and surprised".
However, the first version was described in the Buddhist doctrine as "greed, anger, ignorance, agony caused by hatred, agony caused by parting, agony caused by unsatisfied desire, and agony caused by losing happiness and reputation".
The explanation for the six sensory pleasures was quite clear, which were the desires or wishes of the "eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind", i.e., the "color, sound, smell, taste, lust, and truth".
