The group was in a secluded neighborhood, also known as the African American and impoverished area. Here, most vehicles were taxis, and not too many at that. Only after the bus rampaged out of the area did the group see the chaos on the main road. Countless vehicles were inching forward, their speed undoubtedly slower than walking. Drivers occasionally burst into curses, likely due to two cars getting too close and colliding, making this stretch of road even slower and more congested.
However, this was the direction out of the city. In contrast, the route into the city was empty of incoming cars. Even so, the road was far from clear. Many cars were driving the wrong way, all heading out of the city. Now the two-way road had effectively become a one-way street, and even the lane into the city was jam-packed with traffic. It was a mystery how WangXia had managed to maneuver the bus into the side street; moving even slightly seemed nearly impossible now.
