Chapter 591: Night Terrors (Part 1)
Early morning, outside the cabin.
Overnight rains had turned the forest floor to mud.
Yet, just outside the cabin's front door, less than ten steps away, two squarely shaped boxes were conspicuously placed.
These wooden boxes were reinforced with copper corners, which bore some kind of totemic patterns, exuding an ancient yet exquisite charm.
After Chen Xiaolian called out, Hussein walked out from the house and saw the two boxes outside. Even the face of this former Jerusalem Templar turned sour!
Boxes don't have legs; they don't walk on their own, nor do they have wings to fly down from the sky!
The only explanation for the two boxes appearing just ten steps outside the door was that someone had carried them there and placed them at the door!
"I checked outside last night, and there was nothing," Hussein said hurriedly, his face ashen.
