Nie Yan had no trouble completing swath after swath of questions, spending about an hour and a half to finish roughly half of them. Looking up, he noticed everyone else was still deeply engrossed in their work. Checking his score, he had scored over seven hundred points. Such a score was already sufficient; scoring any higher would simply be monstrous, so he decided to stop.
Two hours later, the assessment ended and the scores displayed on the screen. At the top was Xie Yao with seven hundred sixty-three points, followed by Nie Yan with seven hundred thirty-one points, and the third seemed to be just over five hundred ninety points. The scores for many others were too painful to watch, mostly three to four hundred points.
