Chapter 45 - Little Mouth

The older Luo sibling raised his hand and signaled for his subordinates to back down. He raised his head and tried to peer through what was left of his eyesight as his eyes were severely swollen. He stared at the direction of the Wen family and said, "This isn’t over!"

Grand Elder Wen was nimble and agile. In just a moment, dark red poisoned blood began to slowly flow from out of the bamboo needle and the second Luo brother sigher in relief. He moved his limbs around before standing in front of his elder brother and challenged, "Those of you from the Wen family, let’s fight again!"

Grand Elder Wen laughed and shook his head, "Forget about it, even if we were to fight again you will still lose. He’s our grandson." He pointed at a bewildered-looking Wen Leyang as he said that and continued, "He had already declared his intention and while all of us had stopped fighting, it’s only you two old fellows who still refused to forgive and continued to wound others. The second brother Luo’s poisoning was not an injustice, and the eldest brother Luo deserved to be beaten by us!"

Grand Elder Luo could only see out from a small slit under his swollen eyelids, his chin was raised so high that his head was almost parallel to the ground. Only when he could see Wen Leyang’s face did he say, "How is just saying ’grandfather, it’s me’ considered as him declaring his intentions? If this young fellow here is from the Wen family, then has he also been taken captive by the monks?"

Wen Leyang shook his head, he no longer cared about discussing other matters and directly addressed his four grandpas, "All of you are here because…"

Grand Elder Wen suppressed his own queries temporarily and responded in a direct manner, "We had just arrived on Mount Emei when we were stopped by a group of sorcerer-monks. We were able to deal with them at first but then came a monk whose magic skill was completely out of this world. They captured us and brought us here. Young fellow, the Wen Bucao had fallen and lost spectacularly this time! But unexpectedly, not even two days had passed before the people from the Luo family were also brought here. They were even more unfortunate as the monks did not touch our belongings and poisons but the zombie corpses of the Luo were all confiscated by the bald donkeys!"

The two outstanding cultivators of the Luo family huffed simultaneously.

Grand Elder Wen roared with laughter as he continued, "The monks had cast a magic spell on this place, everything looks normal in the courtyard but if one were to walk near the walls that person would encounter a resistance and be bounced back. We’ve tried every method from levitating to digging a hole in the ground but nothing worked. Fourth brother became angry and set the Wind Poison in the yard, by his reckoning if we couldn’t get out then the monks should not be able to enter too!"

Wen Leyang looked at a random part of the enclosing wall of the courtyard and walked towards it. As expected, upon nearing the wall he immediately felt a gentle force blocking his way forward. He leaned his body and tested the resistance before backing away in large strides as he slowly accumulated his power.

Grand Elder Luo pointed his chin at Grand Elder Wen’s head and laughed soundlessly, "Why is that Wen lad so confident?" Before he had finished talking, a strong blast of air blew past him – Wen Leyang had gathered enough power and ran full speed ahead. He surged forward like lightning towards the courtyard wall and used the inertia produced by his body to slam himself ferociously at the solid wall like a raging dragon!

Not a sound was heard but Grand Elder Wen could feel that the ground beneath his feet was pulled by an unknown force. It expanded to its limit before suddenly shrinking rapidly. Wen Leyang’s figure had disappeared from his sight while the shape of a human figure with his arms and legs spread out (it formed the exact shape of the Chinese character ‘大’) appeared on the yard’s wall. The young fellow’s posture as he slammed through the wall was accurately recorded by the empty hole he left behind.

Everyone’s jaws dropped in awe and stone powder rained from the edges of the damaged wall. The imprisonment spell that had been impassable was now like a piece of plastic which had been corroded by acid, a break had formed and was expanding rapidly from the shape of a man to as wide as two busses.

The moment Wen Leyang came into contact with the surface of the wall, every joint on his body was shaking. He used the Faulty Punch to direct the Poison’s Power in his body to explode with all his might. In the time of a quick attack, he had corroded through the mottled ancient wall. As he came out from the other side, he found Chang Li standing outside smiling at him.

Regardless of whether it was a magic weapon or the magic art of the prohibition spell, the person who had cast the spell clearly absorbed divine energy and relied on the divine power to accomplish the spell. Other than tempering poison, the biggest trick from the Faulty Punch that was inherited from Grand Master Tuoxie was that it was capable of destroying that little connection of primordial spirit using the Power of Poison, once the primordial spirit was broken, any other magic spell would be dispelled.

Wen Leyang surveyed his surroundings with vigilance as he asked Chang Li in a low voice, "Did I startle the monks?"

Chang Li smiled lightly, it brightened the entire night sky as her infinite charm floated lightly. She answered vaguely, "Monks? Definitely not the monks."

A chin poked itself out of the breach in the wall in a very sneaky way…

Grand Elder Luo looked incredulously around, "The spell…the spell has been broken?"

Footsteps as agile as a leopard’s pattered rapidly out. Even the fearless second, third, and the fourth brother of the Wen family’s faces were filled with astonishment as they followed behind their eldest brother. More than a hundred shadows of the people from the Death Trademark of the Wen Bucao and the Centipede of Crow Ridge also came out. Some of their movements were agile, some were rigid and they cruised out of the breach before dispersing into every strategic position to protect their masters.

Grand Elder Wen looked outside when he saw a lively Chang Li standing there, he was stunned for a moment. He then spoke to Wen Leyang in a low, unpleasant voice, "Don’t take after the bad traits of your first uncle!"

Wen Leyang was scandalized. Chang Li was a genuine witch and her moods were constantly changing, she could be smiling happily in one moment and in the next, she would be chopping a person into eight pieces. Even though she had sworn an oath of alliance to the Wen family, yet Wen Leyang could not be sure when she could turn hostile. But before he could explain himself, his heart suddenly detected a hint of danger. The skin on his entire body tightened involuntarily as if there was an immense danger lurking stealthily nearby.

Chang Li looked at him with slight astonished and chuckled lightly, "This is getting more and more interesting." As she was saying that, she raised her brilliant eyes and looked ahead.

A monk with a face full of terror was running towards them. He did not try to hide from them nor did he slow himself down. He had almost entered into the ambush circle of the Death Trademark and The Centipede when he stopped suddenly, "How did all of you escape? Do return quickly for if the monks at the front were to find out about this then you would be in big trouble."

The monk appeared to be over thirty years of age and had thick brows, large eyes, and a plump face. However, his mouth was tiny and his lips were bright red in color.

A murderous glow flashed through Grand Elder Wen’s eyes as he roared with laughter, "Grand master, something has happened in the courtyard!" As he was saying that he took a big stride forward as the other three elders followed closely behind him to protect one another. Before they had been captured, they had fought with the monks for many days. So they knew that even if the monks were well-versed with magic spells, their physiques were limited and only slightly stronger than an ordinary person’s, they would still die if they came into contact with a strong poison.

The monk with the little mouth shook his head rapidly, he spoke frantically in a panic, "Return quickly, do return quickly! No matter what happens you must return…"

The eldest Wen brother continued to elaborate as he intentionally tried to sound mysterious, "Great master, there is a ghost in the courtyard!"

Wen Leyang tilted his head and looked at Chang Li who was staring at the monk while deep in thought. Her eyebrows were wrinkled slightly as her radiant and enchanting delicate features wore an expression of curiosity. She completely ignored him for the moment.

Whether it was the Wen or the Luo family’s brightest and stealthiest expert cultivators, all of them had gathered the power within their bodies and were prepared to kill with one strike at any moment. The monk with the little mouth appeared to not notice the murderous atmosphere as he frowned and cursed, "Nonsense! This is the holy land of Buddhism, how could there be any monsters or ghosts?"

Chang Li suddenly laughed out loud as she interrupted, "Are you sure there isn’t one?"

The monk with the little mouth was stunned and looked at her in a peculiar way.

Wen Leyang knew that he could not order the witch around so he walked hastily to the side of his first grandpa before saying helpfully, "There really is a ghost, otherwise how were we able to get out?"

The monk with the little mouth was gradually becoming more frantic as he listened to the group talk, upon hearing Wen Leyang’s voice, he looked up and opened his mouth to speak. Before he could make a sound, however, he pulled a clownish expression at Wen Leyang, his nose started twitching rapidly at an inhuman speed. His entire face then contracted and relaxed swiftly as if a gigantic hand was pinching his face continuously.

Grand Elder Wen saw that the monk’s face was having a muscle cramp and stopped walking forward in puzzlement. He turned and looked at Fourth Elder Wen, "This must be one of your doings…" Before Grand Elder Wen could finish speaking, the monk had stopped twitching and suddenly turned a frighteningly greedy gaze towards Wen Leyang. His voice trembled yearningly as he held out a hand and whispered to Wen Leyang, "Give it to me!"

Chang Li chuckled with a crisp voice and agreed, "Give it to him."

Wen Leyang was clearly confused, "Give what to him?"
