Daqin Island was located to the north of Tuojiao Island and was much smaller in area, governing four administrative villages.
The island had nothing particularly remarkable about it; it was simply lush with trees, overgrown with flowers and weeds, covered in piles of dead leaves, and strewn with stubborn rocks, which provided abundant homes for many scorpions. These scorpions bred prolifically, grouping by the dozens or hundreds in dams or piles of rocks, often clumping together to form peculiar scorpion balls.
After some environmental anomaly, the scorpions underwent some unknown change. Although their abilities were not evident, they attracted a sea beast that delighted in eating scorpions, which for years made its home here to feast—that is, until it was recently dispatched by a band of people.
Thus, the island was very safe, and in comparison to Tuojiao Island, it was completely harmless.
