As the two massive iron gates swung open, a line of heavily loaded trucks left the residential area and took to the vast, desolate national highway for a stretch before disappearing where the sky met the horizon.
There were a dozen or so vehicles, each with two people, all of the same model and color. After traveling over a hundred kilometers, a solitary city emerged, notably standing out in the northwest wasteland.
It was Salt Lake City, which had revitalized with the repopulation.
Most of the city's facilities were well-preserved, and in one year, the government had relocated nearly a million people, slightly more than the population before the resurgence of Spiritual Energy.
The convoy navigated through the main thoroughfare, bustling with pedestrians and lined with shops bearing signs that read, "Meditation Crash Course, Ten Days to Settle Your Spirit," "Sailing Education, Discount Enrollment for Elemental Dao Classes" and the like.
