A flight from Siam had just landed. Before long, a group of passengers filed out of the airport.

During the past six to seven years, Siam had successfully replaced Nippon and Koryo as the most popular tourist destination among the neighboring countries. This bunch of returning tourists was the most typical kind: men and women of all age groups had spent the holiday there with their families and returned with bags filled with souvenirs of all sizes and Buddha amulets dangling from their necks. All were in high spirits and could not shut up about the fun they had.
