Amelia’s face was pale. This was the deepest secret of their clan. She didn’t expect that not only did it catch Dudian’s attention, but it was also deduced by him. Although she felt that if she were to put herself in Dudian’s shoes, she would be able to deduce these things, however, she wasn’t as confident as Dudian. It was as if she had confirmed the fact that she had deduced. This feeling made her very disgusted. At the same time, she was very depressed. She bowed her head: “You can think whatever you want.”
She had made up her mind and wasn’t going to be tricked by Dudian.
Dudian looked at her and turned to look at the Aragami embedded in the stone wall. His eyes slightly flashed but he couldn’t figure out why the Aragami’s remains were here. If it was Amelia’s ancestors who buried the Aragami here.., why would the Aragami let the Aragami invade? Moreover, the exit of the cave extended to the village but not from the outside world. This was very intriguing.
At this time, his stomach began to growl again.
The hunger was burning his stomach. Dudian frowned slightly and looked at Aisha who was next to him. Her injury was still not effective and the medication he used was not effective on her body, she could only rely on herself to recover.
According to his understanding of undeads, the fastest way to recover was to eat. Although undeads could starve for a long time, but their body would not grow when they starved. On the contrary, their movement would be slowed because of lack of water, even the unconscious undead could not even be called “Living beings”, but even an object had its own internal circulation and needs.
Moreover, according to his notes in the monster laboratory, the way the undead digested was completely different from that of humans and other creatures. Some of the undead’s internal organs were broken or even missing, but they could still digest, the reason was that their digestive organs were not ‘individual’like the stomach, but were similar to reptiles ‘snakes’or some insects. The entire feeding passage was their digestive organs, even the throat!
This was also the reason why the sound of the undeads’roars was so hoarse. It didn’t matter whether the vocal cords were injured or not. The reason was that the vocal cords had long dissolved into a part of the digestive organs.
Dudian quietly looked at her. He felt that this time was exceptionally quiet and even had a hint of sweetness.
No matter how dangerous the environment was, with her by his side, he would always feel the warmth of spring.
He was counting the time, estimating the speed of Aisha’s digestion and absorption. From time to time, he would cut out a piece of desolate worm and feed it to her mouth. Time passed. On the other side, Amelia was so hungry that she could not bear it. The stomach acid in her stomach seemed to be digesting her body. She felt that she would be dissolved by the stomach acid, especially the soft sound of Aisha chewing, she wanted to grab a few stones and stuff them into her stomach.
Slowly, she suddenly felt that the worm was not so bad. At least when Aisha ate it, there was nothing unusual. It was as if she was just eating a normal piece of meat.
Thinking of this, she licked her dry lips and said to dudian: “Can, can you give me one?”
Dudian glanced at her: “Go and find it yourself.”
Amelia had expected that Dudian wouldn’t be so kind. She clenched her teeth and was about to get up when she suddenly thought of something. Her face turned red. She was naked at the moment. If she didn’t curl up on the ground and cover her body with her calves.., it was inevitable that her body would be exposed to Dudian if she got up at this moment. She clenched her teeth and lowered her head in anger. She didn’t say a word.
After a long time, hunger was once again invading her. She slowly thought that since dudian had already seen her, it didn’t matter if she looked at her again.
She stood up shakily. She leaned against the wall and turned to face Dudian. She covered her chest with her hand and slowly walked out of the cave. At the same time, she was prepared not to sit with Dudian.
Dudian opened half of his eyes and glanced at the direction where she left. He tracked her movement through the heat source.
He saw that she had gone to the passage. She stopped there for a while and then returned. He didn’t look at her anymore.
Several days passed.
Aisha had eaten all of the fat worms that Dudian had taken back. Aisha’s body didn’t show any signs of freezing after taking so many worms. Dudian was relieved.
After a few days of recovery, a small part of her injuries hadn’t healed. Dudian was a bit surprised. Aisha’s body could heal quickly even if she had broken her wrist, however, there were still blood marks on her back and legs as if they had just been cut open.
Dudian got up when he saw that the worms had finished eating. He felt his stomach growl again. He was cold and hungry after not eating for a few days. He even planned to eat Amelia a few times but in the end he held back.
He had killed many people but this was the first time he had eaten someone. Unless he had no choice, he didn’t plan to take this step. That meant failure.
After going around the wall, Dudian saw that Amelia was curled up on the other side of the wall. There were several pieces of worms around her. She was unconscious and didn’t have any vigilance.
Dudian went straight to the passage. He was surprised to see that most of the broken worms were gone. There was only a small stand of worms left on the ground, but they were listless and didn’t move.
“Strange!”Dudian frowned. He had noticed that even if Amelia had a big appetite, she wouldn’t be able to eat so many worms. Could it be that those worms had wriggled away?
It seemed that there was only one possibility.
He looked at the darkness in front of the passage. He gave up the idea of chasing after them. He picked up a few slightly fat worms but found that one of them was nearly two meters long, its size was almost the same as the previous giant insect. However, this insect was also lying on the ground weakly. It saw Dudian approaching and quickly raised its head to pounce on Dudian.
Dudian casually waved his sword and cut it into several pieces. He took it back but he was a bit surprised. It seemed that he didn’t miss such a big insect.
He took the worm back to Aisha and cut it into small pieces. When he cut it, he found that there were several scars on the worm’s round body, he had never seen such injuries on the worm before.
He frowned and didn’t think much. He cut out a few pieces for Aisha to eat. His stomach growled again.
He could not bear the hunger any longer. He turned his head and looked at Amelia who was sitting on the other side of the rock wall. A hint of killing intent flashed in his eyes. After a moment, the killing intent slowly subsided.
At that moment, he suddenly remembered that he still had a few pieces of Sylvia’s corpse in his backpack.
Perhaps, he could use them to satisfy his hunger?
