“I understand.”Richelieu agreed.
Dudian made a gesture to invite him. Richelieu came to his desk on the other side of the hall. He took out an edict scroll from the drawer and began to write. After a moment he finished writing the edict and handed it over to Dudian.
Dudian looked at it. It was the same as what he had told him. There was no extra content. There shouldn’t be any hidden meaning in the words. He nodded: “Alright, get ready and leave with me.”
Richelieu saw that things had come to this point. He didn’t say anything. He went to the desk and pulled out the drawer. He took out some items including a gold plated quill pen.
Dudian looked at the things that he had packed. He pointed at one of them: “What is this black box?”
“It is the box where I stored the Knight’s badge when I was promoted to captain. I have been keeping it as a souvenir.”Richelieu said.
