Mier's brows furrowed at Kieran's rejection.
"You're going to investigate Hardy Lynne's case, right? Why can't you bring me along? My knowledge and identity can be of help to you."
Her jaded eyes showed confusion.
Kieran, however, didn't reply. Before Mier's words even subsided, he vanished before her eyes.
It was not that Kieran had anything against certain genders or looks, he just tended to judge people based on trust.
Mier might not show any hostility, but she still wasn't a friend to Kieran.
Therefore, if he had a choice, Kieran would choose not to work with her.
Mier was stunned when Kieran vanished from her eyes. Then she stomped her foot on the ground angrily.
"Damn it!"
Her cursing didn't slow down her movements at all. She jumped into her car beside the road and started the engine.
The engine roared to life and Mier drove off in the dust.
