"Interesting. Miss Grey, are you threatening me?"
Lu Qingchen smiled with great interest. He did not seem to be infuriated by the threat at all. Instead, he declared with the face of an ugly kid, "Let me see. It's been a long, long, long time… since anybody threatened me!"
It was clearly a soft child's voice, but it made Grey and Gus feel an inexplicable fear.
Grey's body shook violently. She felt that all the strength in her body, especially her legs, had been drained. She almost collapsed to the ground.
But when she thought of her father's broken body, she gritted her teeth and managed to look at Lu Qingchen in the eyes. "It was not a threat. We were merely helping each other like you said!"
"Helping each other? Haha. Great!"
