Chapter 86 - Earlier Test

That strange feeling came quickly, and then disappeared. Qian Jin gripped his fists regretfully. Before, every time he entered the Endless World, his warrior energy level would increase. However, in the past ten days, although his warrior energy had increased, he just couldn’t advance his warrior energy to the tenth level and turn his warrior energy into warrior power. “Do I really need the help from the Warrior Energy Concentration Array?” he thought.

“Slow down, there’s no rush. You are still very young.” Fabreidis walked close to Qian Jin and patted his shoulders. “I’m sure you understand the consequences of advancing to Level 10 Warrior Energy using external supports, right?”

Qian Jin nodded; there were many books at the Qian Family library documenting Level 9 Warriors trying to advance to Level 10 Warriors. There were two methods: the first method was to use one’s own effort to pressure and pressure the warrior energy until it became warrior power! This would cause a qualitative change and allow a warrior to take one step into the Demon Fighter’s level!

Another method was to get help from the Warrior Energy Concentration Array. In a short period of time, with the help from a huge amount of warrior energy concentrated by the array, one could pressure the Level 9 Warrior Energy into warrior power; otherwise, the warrior couldn’t do it on their own.

However, by using the Warrior Energy Concentration Array to advance to a Level 10 Warrior, it would pose a great obstacle for the warrior’s future growth.

“Using external forces isn’t the right way for a warrior to grow after all.” – [Warrior Growth Theory] by Phoenix.

This was a book translated into multiple languages because of the demand coming from demons and barbarians who hated reading. That alone proved the book’s value, and Qian Jin would never forget the quotes from this basic book that was recommended by multiple of the Greatest Warriors in history.

“I know, I’m not worried.” Qian Jin caressed his Zhanmadao as he raised his head and looked at Fabreidis, who was a bit taller than him. He smiled as he said, “In this world, many students know that cheating isn’t a good thing. They know that it can temporarily give them a good score, but they won’t learn the necessary knowledge they need. However, there are still many people who choose to cheat because it looks like a shortcut. This is the so-called temptation of shortcuts. Don’t worry, I won’t be tempted!”

Fabreidis suddenly realized that although he had raised the score he gave to Qian Jin multiple times, he was still underestimating him. Qian Jin’s warrior energy development speed. It was enough to shock a lot of geniuses, but what shocked Fabreidis the most was Qian Jin’s attitude! “This young man has a stable and calm attitude that is far superior to his peers!” Fabreidis thought to himself.

Suddenly, someone started knocking on the door carefully, and it interrupted Fabreidis’ and Qian Jin’s conversation. Franklin wanted to open the door, but Qian Jin already rushed to the door before him. “I’m the youngest among the three of us, so tasks like opening the door should be done by me.” This was Qian Jin’s mentality.

“Instructor Rodriguez?” Qian Jin was surprised to see him. His instructor, who was usually short-tempered, was carefully peeking his head into the courtyard. “Why are you here?” Qian Jin asked.

Rodriguez’s eyes went over Qian Jin and landed on Fabreidis. “Hi,” he nodded as he greeted the city’s guardian.

Fabreidis lightly waved his hand to tell Rodriguez to speak casually.

“Qian Jin, follow me back to the academy. You have to start preparing.” Rodriguez said as he placed his hands on his waist. “That Caeller wasn’t happy after seeing you miss the last couple days of classes. He asked you to complete your test earlier; he said it is punishment. You have the next few hours to prepare, and the test will start tonight.”

“Tonight?” Qian Jin looked at the moon in the sky. His plan tonight was to eliminate Lucas in case he encountered dangerous assassins. As for doing the test tonight?

“Instructor, could I do my test a little later?”

“Later?” Rodriguez shook his head as he said, “You might end up at the most outer layer of the Warrior Energy Concentration Array if you delay it!”

“The most outer layer…” Qian Jin turned his head and looked at Franklin who was standing behind him. “Everything I did today was to get an opportunity to kill that Lucas. Otherwise, who knows if Lucas will assassinate Franklin after not being able to find me?” he thought.

“Qian Jin, you can go.” Fabreidis took out a badge from his sleeves and gave it to Franklin. “Before you come back, his shop will always have this badge,” he said.

The City Guardian’s Exclusive Badge! Attacking someone with the City Guardian’s Badge would be challenging the City Guardian to a death duel; even the law couldn’t affect this duel.

A thankful smile appeared on Qian Jin’s face. After Franklin received Fabreidis’ City Guardian’s badge, Lucas wouldn’t attack Franklin unless he really didn’t want to live anymore.

“Okay…” Qian Jin shook his head as he said to himself, “I will let you live for a few more days. I will resolve this hidden trouble when I get back.”

“Who will you let live for a few more days? What are you talking about?” Rodriguez asked as he dragged Qian Jin back to the academy. He paced himself to make sure that Qian Jin would have enough time to pack. “I have one more question. Is this your weapon? It’s too big. How about I lend you my battle blade for this test?”

“That’s okay… Instructor, don’t you think this weapon looks very cool?” Qian Jin sped up his footsteps and surpassed Rodriguez as he stared at both sides of the street carefully.

Since the last assassination and City Defense and Security Force incident, Qian Jin kept up his guard. Last time, they accepted money and helped chase after a suspect. Who knew if a portion of the City Defense and Security Force would become guest performers after Lucas spent a ton of money and acted as assassins?

It might have been Fabreidis’ presence that deterred the City Defense and Security Force from being a part of Lucas’ plan, or it might have been that Lucas didn’t have enough time to hire enough assassins.

The end result was fine; Qian Jin and Rodriguez returned to the academy safely. A student on the open field ran up to Rodriguez as he saw him return. The student bowed and said, “Instructor, Managing Director Caeller told me to notify you that the time of the test has been moved to tomorrow morning.”

“Damn!” Rodriguez couldn’t help but swear. “That bastard, is he trying to make a fool out of Qian Jin?”

Qian Jin shrugged his shoulder, because he really didn’t care. He could easily cover his face one night and break into Caeller’s house and beat the crap out of him to vent his anger.

“Okay, Qian Jin. You should go back and rest now,” Rodriguez said as he waved his hand. “Just make sure that you prepare well. You might have to get up early tomorrow.”

Qian Jin looked up at the sky. “Lucas might have really not been able to hire enough assassins tonight, so the defense around him may still be very tight. It looks like I really won’t have the opportunity to kill him today,” he thought.

“Instructor, I will be going to bed now,” Qian Jin said to Rodriguez as he turned around and ran towards his dorm room. He secretly calculated that he needed a few more days to completely forge his Zhanmadao in the Endless World.

After he pushed open the door, he found that fatty Rollin wasn’t lying on his bed, sleeping and snoring comfortably.

Qian Jin was surprised to see a second person in the room! Aside from Rollin, there was a woman in the room! No, describing her as a girl would be more accurate!

The girl was really pretty. She had long and smooth maroon-coloured hair. There was a hairpin colored and shaped like a butterfly. She was also wearing a white cotton dress and a pair of white socks with lace edges that girls liked. With the moonlight sprinkled on her hair and skin, she looked very simple and elegant.
