Chapter 6 - The girl named Vita

The laughter in the room gradually settled down, leaving behind an awkward yet warm atmosphere.

Anna, still gently caressing Noa's hair, smiled softly and said, "Don't be embarrassed, Noa. Vita is like a sister to you."

Before Noa could even react, Vita immediately chimed in with an impish grin. "Yeah, yeah! There's nothing to be embarrassed about being seen in the bath by your older sister. Besides, what kind of older sister hasn't seen her little brother nak—"

She suddenly burst into laughter again before she could finish her sentence.

"HAHAHAHA!"

Noa's face turned bright red as he shouted in shock and mortification, "WHAT?!"

Muttering under his breath, he grumbled, "What kind of sister in her right mind tries to kill her own little brother with the weapon of a freakish blacksmith?"

Anna and Vita immediately burst into laughter again, their giggles filling the room.

Meanwhile, Edward, who had been listening silently, let out a snort and crossed his arms. "Hmph. I am NOT some 'freakish' blacksmith. My products are the best-selling weapons in the entire market!"

His proud declaration only made the girls laugh harder, while Noa groaned in defeat.

 Getting to Know Vita

After a few minutes, Anna, still smiling, gently ran her fingers through Noa's hair as she began to explain, "Noa, this is Vita de Luxhardt, my niece. She's been living with us for the past two years."

Noa blinked in surprise.

"Two years?" He had been here for two months and never heard about her even once.

Anna continued, "She just returned home after completing her final exams at Paradise Academy. The school held her there for two extra months for special training, so we completely forgot to mention her to you."

She clicked her tongue apologetically. "Sorry about that, Noa."

Noa looked at Vita, who was smiling mischievously, her golden eyes gleaming with amusement.

"She's way too energetic," Noa thought.

As if reading his mind, Vita smirked at him.

"Well, little brother," she said, leaning closer with a teasing grin, "we'll be seeing a lot of each other from now on!"

Noa had a bad feeling about this.

 Dinner with Vita

That evening, during dinner, Noa walked into the dining room—only to find Vita sitting in his usual seat.

She looked up, noticed him standing there, and patted the seat next to her.

"Come sit next to your big sister, Noa!" she said cheerfully.

Noa snorted and turned his head away, deciding to ignore her.

Unfortunately, after glancing around, he realized there were no other available seats.

The only empty spot was right beside Vita.

"Damn it."

Vita, as if knowing this would happen, chuckled to herself.

Left with no choice, Noa grudgingly sat beside her, avoiding eye contact.

Dinner began, and to his horror, Vita was annoyingly attentive.

She kept placing food on his plate, making sure he ate enough.

Every time Noa frowned or looked confused, she would flash him a teasing smile and say, "Big sis will take care of you, so eat up!"

Anna and Edward watched the interaction with amusement, exchanging knowing glances.

It was clear as day—Vita was overjoyed to have a cute little brother.

The lively dinner continued with laughter and chatter, and despite his initial resistance, Noa couldn't deny that the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

For the first time, he felt like he was truly part of a family.

 The Sleeping Dilemma

However, after dinner, a new problem arose.

Noa's room hadn't been built yet, so he still slept in the same room as Edward and Anna.

Tonight, however, that arrangement would change.

Edward looked like he had just been hit with a heavy realization.

As Anna happily announced, "Noa, until your room is ready, you'll be sleeping with Vita and me!"

Noa froze.

Vita beamed.

Edward looked horrified.

"Wait, what?!" Noa yelled in disbelief.

Edward, eyes wide with shock, turned to his wife. "Hold on, why does he have to sleep in the same room as you two?!"

Anna tilted her head, confused. "Because we need to prepare his room, obviously."

"But—"

Anna smiled sweetly. "Oh, Eddie, don't tell me you actually thought you'd get to sleep with me for the next few days?"

Edward immediately shut his mouth.

Vita, meanwhile, was laughing. "Oh wow, Uncle Edward! You look like you just lost a battle!"

Anna continued, "Since we have to expand Noa's room to fit both him and Vita, it will take a few days. Until then, he'll sleep with us."

Edward let out a dramatic sigh, "So where am I supposed to sleep?"

Anna simply smiled, "Outside."

Edward choked. "WHAT?!"

Noa, still processing everything, turned to Anna in shock. "Wait, my room is being rebuilt… to fit Vita too?"

Vita grinned. "Of course! We're going to be roommates, little brother!"

Noa felt his soul leave his body.

Edward groaned, slumping in defeat as he grabbed a pillow and blanket, preparing for his exile. "I knew it… I lost everything today…"

Vita, still laughing, leaned towards Noa with a teasing whisper, "Looks like we'll be together for a long time, huh?"

Noa buried his face in his hands.

And so, that night marked the beginning of Noa's chaotic new life with Vita.
