What is Love? – Part 1

It was a beautiful morning. Ira was driving to the university, and the sunlight shone gently on everything, making nature seem like it was dancing. As she drove down the road, a few boys started looking at her. Their eyes reflected a mixture of surprise, admiration, and curiosity. Ira's beauty seemed to brighten the world even more. Some boys stood mesmerized, as if they had entered a whole new world just by looking at her.

One particular boy caught sight of Ira—his name was Onik. The moment he saw her, he was stunned. There was something different about her, something he had never felt before. Curious, he stepped away from his friends and looked at her more closely.

Gathering some courage, Onik walked towards Ira. His legs felt hesitant, but his heart was telling him otherwise. He had spoken to many people before, but today, he felt something was different. As Ira stepped out of her car, Onik gave a soft smile and said,

"Are you going to the university?"

Ira looked at him, slightly surprised. She made direct eye contact and replied calmly, "Yes, I am."

Onik smiled shyly, but his eyes held a curiosity as if he didn't understand why his heart was reacting in such an unfamiliar way.

"This is our first introduction," Onik said. "What's your name?"

"Ira," she answered simply. However, there was a mysterious depth in her eyes that made Onik even more curious.

"Ira… That's a beautiful name," Onik said, his voice carrying a soft, sweet tone.

Ira smiled slightly, but something about her gaze was unreadable. Onik was about to say something more, but before he could, she hurried towards her destination.

"At least, it was nice meeting you. It was a pleasure to see you," Onik said as she walked away.

And just like that, their first meeting happened. But deep inside, Onik knew this was only the beginning—his story with Ira was going to be different.

Ira didn't think much of Onik's words. She just gave a small smile and continued on her way as if it was nothing. Onik stood there, a little confused, wondering why she acted so indifferent despite being so beautiful.

As Ira walked towards the university, Onik's friends laughed and said, "That girl is something else! If she had just looked at me once, I swear I would have…"

Onik lowered his head, listening to his friends. He knew he might have spoken too much, but Ira's reaction made him curious.

"Did I say something wrong?" he thought. "But that doesn't mean I'll give up."

A strange determination settled within him. He decided that he would talk to Ira again, understand her, and solve the mystery surrounding her.

But would Ira ever look at him again?

While heading to the university, Ira seemed lost in thought, looking somewhere else entirely—far beyond where Onik stood.

After arriving at the university, Ira went straight to class. Today's lecture was quite interesting, especially since her best friend, Trisha, was sitting beside her. They laughed and chatted, making the time pass quickly.

"Ira, did you know? A boy was staring at you today," Trisha said with a grin.

Ira looked surprised. "Who?"

"Onik!" Trisha exclaimed excitedly. "He kept looking at you again and again. And you didn't even notice!"

Ira smirked. "Oh, him? He doesn't even know me."

Trisha nudged her playfully. "So what? A guy staring at a beautiful girl is completely normal!"

Ira chuckled at her friend's teasing but thought about it for a moment. There was something about Onik's look that felt different, though she couldn't quite understand why.

After class, Ira and Trisha walked around campus together. Suddenly, Onik appeared in front of them. He looked like he wanted to say something. But as Ira and Trisha laughed and talked, he hesitated.

Trisha, noticing Onik's nervous expression, teased, "So, what do you want today? You seem extra fascinated!"

Onik gave a shy smile. "No, nothing…"

Trisha laughed. "Oh, we know what's going on! You just can't take your eyes off her, can you?"

Onik lowered his head in embarrassment and quickly walked away. Ira stood there, slightly puzzled.

Trisha's words made Ira think—Could it be? Does Onik actually like me?

The story was still uncertain, but today had brought a new feeling into Ira's heart. Something was about to happen—but what? Only time would tell.
