Immediately the man heard kai answer, he began to rejoice in his heart. A chance, a golden chance, an opportunity to gain something from one's substance had been given to him on a plater of gold.
Instantly the man waved his muscular arm towards one of the guards; a young man with blonde hair wearing the same uniform as the others.
The guard upon knowing he had been chosen for the job hurriedly walked towards kai, reaching him in less than 10 seconds.
Upon reaching kai, the young guard brought out something from his waist; A blue black diamond shaped pendant. But unlike the average pendant this pendant seemed to have four insect legs on it.
This creature was a symbol. A very useful one infact, capable of traveling through a person's substance and their channel.
It's name was the Core walker; a sphere 2 new symbol.
It was a symbol capable of making one able to inspect a persons substance and its surroundings. It was a very useful and precise symbol capable of checking every detail available in ones substance, leaving a person substance open for the user to see.
Immediately the guard brought it out, kai stared at it, his expression slightly surprised. Although filled with an incredible amount of pain, kai could still observe things around him. He was not ignorant to the things around him rather he just paid no attention to the things which did not pique his interest, as right now he could only afford to focus on the important things.
"Will you allow me passage?" The young guard suddenly asked, his expression plain.
Kai looked at him and with a very desperate expression and quickly answered yes.
Immediately kai said that, the core walker which had been laying on the palm of the young guards hand immediately reacted and flew into kai chest region as fast as light, passing through his skin barrier as if it were not there.
Such blinding speed shocked kai but before he could even mutter a word in his mouth, he felt a sharp pain in his chest region which instantly forced him to drop down his hands and squeeze tightly his already dirty and squeezed shirt.
"F**k, what is this?... what is this pain?... It hurts! it hurts!" Kai who had been holding his chest just now immediately fell down to the ground his hands on his chest.
He felt an intense fire in his heart, like something was burning him there. It felt like a forest fire had been lit inside his body, and started spreading more and more into him. His heart rate increased and sweat appeared all over his body making his very soul tremble in displeasure.
The young guard watched all this with plain expression, not even feeling a slight amount of pity for kai. He just watched, looking, staring and sometimes even smirking as kai struggled in the pain.
After a few minutes of intense pain, kai's body started to calm down and the burning sensation which had engulfed him just before had began to cool down.
"Come!" the young guard called out stretching his hand as the symbol flew away from kais body and landed in the palm of his hands.
Immediately the symbol touched his hand, he expression immediately turned saddened.
He then turned and looked to the middle aged guard at the back, before shaking his head left to right, his expression still the same.
"Dammit!, you are telling me that that guy doesn't even have a clean substance. Tch, what sort of stupid luck is this then. Why did i even stop? I could have just killed this fool and not have wasted any time here" The middle aged guard visibly angry, screamed furiously in his mind.
He had tried to check kai's substance to see if he had any symbol or to know if he even had any sphere in symbolism so as to enable him to be able to plunder it, but to his annoyance he had not even the slightest bit of anything. He was even worse than some street dogs.
Such uselessness was found very irritating and annoying to the middle aged man and he immediately cursed in his mind, letting out his immense anger.
They had spent over 5minutes here wasting their time for a completely normal human. This was very annoying and frustrating to the guards present. Especially knowing they were not like this average useless human.
The difference in status between them was like night and day. It was like a noble wasting time on a street beggar, so they definitely found it annoying to waste their time even though little, on people like kai.
"P-p-please y-you h-h-have checked it r-right?. You ha-have seen i d-do not h-have anything on me right." kai stuttering managed to say as he looked towards the young guard.
His face was now very pale and his eyes now had huge red bags under it like those people have when they do not have enough sleep.
The guard turned his face from the middle aged guard and unto kai and looked at him with a very angry expression.
He immediately cursed at kai and even attempted to kick kai but he was stopped by a shout from the middle aged man at the back.
Kai who had a very pale face was shocked by the young guards action just now and even more relieved, due to the middle aged guards intervention.
