Chapter 3 - The Dark Council

I stood before the Dark Council, trying to look as regal and intimidating as possible. It wasn't easy, considering I was still getting used to my new demonic body.

The Dark Council consisted of seven powerful demons, each with their own unique abilities and personalities. There was Xarath, the Council's leader, who looked like a giant spider with eyes that glowed like embers. Next to him was Lyra, a demoness with wings like a butterfly and a voice like honey. Then there was Gorthok, a hulking brute with skin like granite and a temper to match.

I took a deep breath and began my speech. "Greetings, honorable members of the Dark Council. I, the Demon King, have come to discuss our plans for the invasion of the mortal realm."

Xarath raised an eyebrow. "You think you're ready to lead an invasion, Demon King? You're still getting used to your new body."

I bristled at the insult. "I may not have experience as a demon, but I have experience as a leader. And I have a plan."

Lyra leaned forward, her eyes sparkling with interest. "Tell us, Demon King. What is your plan?"

I launched into a detailed explanation of my strategy, using my knowledge of accounting and business to outline a comprehensive plan for conquering the mortal realm.

The Dark Council listened in silence, their faces unreadable. When I finished, Xarath spoke up.

"Your plan is... intriguing, Demon King. But we need to discuss it further. Lyra, would you please prepare a report on the feasibility of the Demon King's plan?"

Lyra nodded, her wings fluttering as she scribbled notes on a piece of parchment.

Gorthok grunted. "I don't like it. We should just smash our way into the mortal realm and take what we want."

I shook my head. "That's not a good idea, Gorthok. We need to be strategic and calculated in our approach. We can't just barge in and expect to succeed."

Xarath's eyes glinted with amusement. "Ah, Demon King. You're so... human. But we'll consider your plan. For now, let's move on to the next item on the agenda."

I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I had survived my first meeting with the Dark Council.

But as I turned to leave, I heard Xarath's voice behind me. "Demon King? One more thing. Don't think you can outsmart us. We're watching you."

I shivered, feeling a chill run down my spine. I knew I had to be careful. The Dark Council was not to be trifled with.
