Chapter 1 - The new born

It was a beautiful morning in Oakville, with the sound of birds chirping and beautiful sunlight making the town a lovely sight.

The Hunter family celebrated the birth of their newborn daughter, Emily. She differed from her siblings, Emma and Ava, with her blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, while they had brown hair and brown eyes. Emma immediately fell in love with Emily, while Ava was jealous of Emily's appearance but she didn't hate her. Ava was just a distant child.

The Hunter family hunted mystic creatures, so it was safe to say they were rich and had a good reputation in their town. However, rumor had it that there was a mystic creature that the Hunter family had failed to catch. The creature was a human wolf that dwelled in the woods of Oakville.

King Ruga was willing to pay a huge sum of money to whoever captured the mystic creature. Emily, on the other hand, grew into a beautiful young lady with her long blonde hair and blue eyes. She loved hearing stories about mystic creatures, and her dream was to meet one. People adored Emily because she was sweet, humble, and kind. "Her kind is rare," people would always say, because Emily was different from everyone else in the town.

Ava, as the oldest daughter, was being trained to be a hunter, hoping to take over the family's business. While Emma was a bookworm, she had a quiet confidence and a sense of self-assurance that came from being lost in the pages of a good book. Emma's love for history and literature was contagious, and her infectious enthusiasm often drew people to her, even if she didn't always realize it.

Months flew by, and the Hunter family hadn't been able to capture the human wolf. But Ava had promised to capture the human wolf herself, feeling she was strong enough to do so.

One day, Emily decided to take a walk in the woods, enjoying the warm sunlight filtering through the trees. She walked along the winding path, listening to the birds singing and the rustling of leaves beneath her feet. As she walked deeper into the woods, she heard a voice echo deep within the trees. She trembled with fear but was also curious to know what it was.

As she walked forward to investigate, she heard some noises coming from the bushes behind her. When she turned around, she saw a handsome man standing before her. They stared at each other for a while, Emily's heart racing with excitement and fear. Then, without warning, he turned and disappeared into the woods, running so fast he was almost invisible.

"What just happened?" Emily thought to herself in shock as she walked back home, her mind reeling with questions.

As soon as Emily got home, she rushed to the library, looking for Emma. She found Emma sitting at a desk, surrounded by stacks of books. Emily burst into the room, looking frantic. Emma looked up from her book, concerned.

"Emma, you won't believe what just happened," Emily said, her voice trembling.

"What is it?" Emma asked, closing her book and leaning forward, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"I was walking in the woods, and I heard this voice. It was so low and mysterious. I turned around, and...and there he was," Emily said, her eyes wide with excitement.

"Who was he?" Emma asked, her brow furrowed with concern.

"I don't know. He was handsome, but his eyes seemed to bore into my soul. And then he just disappeared," Emily said, shuddering at the memory.

Emma stood up and immediately and reached for a book in the shelfs. "Here" she said. "This book contains all the information about mystic creatures, let's take a look" Emma said.

As both girls studied the book intently, they stumbled upon a page about "lupari" which means "wolf- like" in Latin.

"Look here, it says the lupari is a descendant of ancient wolves" Emma said .

"And it says here that wolves have the ability to run fast and the man I saw earlier ran so fast, he was almost invisible, could it be?" Emily said as she slowly raised her head to look at Emma.

"Emily! Do you know what this means? You have somehow unravelled the location of the mystic creature mom and Dad has been searching for" Emma said in Awe.

"We have to tell Ava" Emma suggested.

But Emily felt uneasy at Emma's suggestion because she felt there was something about the man she saw earlier in the woods, that she couldn't seem to place her hand on.

"No, we can't tell her," Emily said firmly, at least not yet. I'm going back there tomorrow."Emily said with a fierce look on her face.

The next day, Emily woke up early, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. She had barely slept, thinking about the mysterious man and the woods. After getting dressed, she snuck downstairs, trying not to wake anyone.

Emma was already in the kitchen, sipping a cup of tea. She looked up at Emily and raised an eyebrow. "You're really going through with this, aren't you?" Emma asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Emily nodded, feeling a surge of determination. "I have to know what's going on," she said, grabbing a piece of bread from the counter.

Emma sighed and stood up. "I'm coming with you," she said, putting down her tea.

Emily's eyes widened in surprise. "You don't have to," she said, feeling a pang of guilt.

But Emma was already heading towards the door. "I'm not letting you go alone," she said, smiling. "Besides, I want to see this mysterious man for myself."

Together, the sisters slipped out of the house, into the early morning mist.

Ava walked through the dense forest, her senses on high alert. She had been told that the mysterious creature lived in a cave deep in the woods. As she approached the cave, she drew her sword, ready for anything.

But when she entered the cave, she was met with silence. She searched every nook and cranny, but there was no sign of the creature. Disappointed, Ava left the cave, unaware that her sisters were watching her from the shadows.

Emily and Emma waited until Ava was out of sight before they crept into the cave. As they made their way deeper into the darkness, Emily suddenly stopped, her eyes fixed on something ahead.

"What is it?" Emma whispered.

But Emily didn't respond. Instead, she took a step forward, her eyes locked on the creature. And to Emma's amazement, the creature began to transform, its body shifting from a wolf-like form to a handsome young man.

The young man's eyes locked onto Emily's, and he began to walk towards her. Emma felt a shiver run down her spine as he approached, his gaze never leaving Emily's face.

As he drew closer, Emma could see the intensity in his eyes, the way they seemed to bore into Emily's soul. She felt a pang of unease, wondering what was going on.

But when he reached them, he didn't say a word. Instead, he turned to Emily and stared at her, his eyes searching hers. Emily felt like he could see right through her, like he knew all her secrets.

And then, just as suddenly as he had appeared, he turned and ran, disappearing into the trees with incredible speed. The girls were left standing there, stunned and confused.

"What just happened?" Emma breathed, turning to Emily.

Emily shook her head, her eyes still fixed on the spot where the young man had vanished. "I don't know," she said, "but I think we need to learn more about the Lupari."

The girls made their way back home, their minds reeling with questions and theories. As soon as they got back, they dove into their research, determined to uncover the secrets of the mysterious young man and the Lupari.

Days turned into weeks, and the sisters' research yielded nothing but dead ends. They pored over dusty tomes in their father's library, searching for any mention of the Lupari. But the mystery remained unsolved.

One evening, as they sat in their chamber, surrounded by candles and the quiet of the night, Emily turned to Emma with a sigh. "I think we should just forget about it," she said, trying to sound casual. "We're not going to find any answers."

Emma looked at her skeptically. "You're giving up? But Emily, we can't just drop it. We have to know what's going on."

Emily shrugged. "I just think it's time to move on. We've been obsessing over this for weeks."

Emma nodded reluctantly, but Emily could tell she was still curious. Little did Emma know, Emily had no intention of giving up. She was secretly planning to return to the woods, alone, in the hopes of encountering the Lupari again.

This time, Emily was determined to get answers. And she was willing to take risks to do so.
