Noctvaris -- the name we gave Earth after the dimensional breaks in 2057. At first we thought nothing of it until those "THINGS" came, those creatures killed people left and right, woman and children, no one was safe From those beasts. We struggled to survive, only going by technology and instincts. Though our technology didn't last long our instincts stayed with us. Ever since we've been struggling to survive in this sickening world.
But, after a few days something happened that allowed people to protect themselves. Powers unlike no other, those powers that looked like they came out of fantasy novel. These powers were powerful, strong enough to cause those monsters to back off and gave us peace.
These powers ranged from people to people, protecting one another for years now. Ever since then, we were able to live without worries, but just when we thought everything was good. People began to start making rules, the ones who have power are considered to at the top and the ones who don't, well, they are considered to be at the bottom of the food chain.
They gave each person ranks ranging from slave rank to lord or warlord rank. Slave ranks have no privilege to anything, and I mean it, they can't do anything but be considered as canonfodder or just dead weight. Slave ranked people are only those who don't have power meaning that we can't even defend ourselves. Meanwhile Lords and warlords are treated exactly how they're titles are, lords, kings, monarchs, whatever you call them. They are the definition of power.
And as for me? Heh, well this might sound embarrassing but I'm a slave rank. Yeah, you heard it right, I'm a slave rank, and on top of that I'm considered to be the weakest of all of them. So yeah, and this my dear friend is a story of how I Devan Thom somehow became the most despised in history
