"Everyone, we have a new transfer student."
Kyoko hima blinked as the boy from that night walked into the classroom. He looked just as cold, his piercing eyes scanning the room with indifference.
"I'm izumi kawa. Nice to meet you," he said flatly.
Kyoko's heart raced. It was him.
As the days passed, she observed him. He was always alone, his expressions never changing. He was polite but distant, as if mimicking human emotions rather than feeling them.
She wanted to know more.
Over time, her curiosity turned into admiration. He was different—detached yet kind in his own way. Before she realized it, she had fallen for him.
But could someone who couldn't feel emotions ever love her back?
Kyoko couldn't ignore him.
From the moment she realized izumi was the one who had saved her, her attention was drawn to him like a magnet. He was quiet, always keeping to himself. Even when others approached, he responded with a polite yet distant demeanor—never truly engaging.
At first, she thought he was just reserved, but the more she watched him, the more she noticed something unsettling. His smiles were perfectly crafted, his words always appropriate, yet they lacked something—genuine emotion.
She decided to confront him.
During lunch, she found him on the rooftop, leaning against the fence, staring at the sky.
"You really don't have any friends, huh?" she teased, sitting beside him.
"I don't need them," izumi replied flatly.
Kyoko frowned. "Everyone needs someone."
"Do they?" He glanced at her, his gaze piercing. "I get by just fine."
"Then why did you save me?" she asked.
For the first time, he hesitated.
"...I don't know," he admitted. "It was logical. You were in danger. I could stop it, so I did."
Kyoko felt her heart ache. He really didn't feel anything, did he?
But why did she still want to be close to him?
