Fairons, the capital of Midgard and the city this ceremony was held. It was coincidentally also the home of the royals.
Some men had came and grabbed him quickly. It was like getting caught in a storm.
He flailed and hit them, but it seemed he just wasn't strong enough. He punched and kicked them but they responded as if he was a baby.
When they got into the carriage, he had tried strangling the driver with his dirty shoelace. It worked.] for a few seconds. Yet, that attempt had ended when a man in the passengers seat punched him straight in the gut.
The next second, his head lunged over the window and he threw up. That's when he decided resistance was futile.
He had also concluded these were probably royal lapdogs. He had no idea what went on in the place. He would probably meet his father, and then compete for the throne.
On the royal candidates 18th birthday, they competed for the throne. Sometimes it was a peaceful treaty, other times it was a blood bath.
It always consisted of 5 candidates.
Jormungandr of the world serpent whose rule would be unwavering and fist would wrap around Midgard. Jormungandr is low in the rankings due to being called a tyrant.
Embla of the first woman to live whose rule would be lovely and bring prosperity to the kingdom. Embla is probably the most favored, due to her purposes reputation.
Fenrir of the wolf whose rule is of rebellion against Asgard and likely leads to war, making him the least favored candidate.
Narfi of the binding whose rule enforces the law. During this time, anyone with a criminal name is shunned and executed on the spot. Narfi, for binding the mischievous is often heavily favored.
Vali of death whose rule is lax. He is the reason Narfi never wins the race. No matter what occurs, Vali always kills Narfi. Though, aside from that his rule is lax, allowing murder to be lawful.
So, once each of these children turn 18, they will have to best eachother to gain the throne.
To gain Odin's respect and to gain Fairons might. Our might.
