"Do you really not know the story?"
A man wearing a neat suit asks, eyes rolling at the other man across from him around the table.
The place is busy with civilians ordering their favorite coffees and the staff of the coffee shop working diligently in the background.
The smaller man with an orange hair places his cup down on the wooden table.
"I've heard of it. But it's not like every thing I heard is the same. People love to twist it."
It was the truth.
No matter how much he wanted to know the story, he wouldn't know the real thing without approaching the one closest to the truth. Right?
"Fine." The raven-hair man sighs. "What I'm about to tell you is the real story, alright? So don't try comparing it to the stories you've heard from somewhere 'cause it'll sound nonsense."
"I know, I know. Just tell me already, dude."
"Treat me ice cream then."
"Ugh- fine! Just tell me everything you know!"

It all started 10 years ago.
Magic and Monsters exist in this world.
To fight the monsters that caused havoc, people that gained powers became a Hunter. These powers didn't just come from nowhere.
The Gods watched and after pitying the condition of the humans, they decided to help these poor beings by letting them borrow little of their powers.
In short, the Hunters are the special humans who were chosen by the Gods.
On that faithful day of March 10, the year 2011, a calamity struck the earth that even the Gods were alerted.
A being descended to earth with an only goal to annihilate everyone, who even threatened the Gods that once he's done with the humans, he will go after them next.
Angered, the Gods ordered their Hunters to kill the unknown man.
The battle lasted for months and it was until then that it ended: humans won.
It was no easy battle for them, countless of lives perished, structures crumbled to ashes, and everything was covered in blood.
The unknown being, pinned against the ground with the Hunters' weapons to restrain him, his own blood pooling around him, sneered.
"One day... One day. I will come back. And I... will eat every joy that creeps into your heart...! This may be the end of the battle, but not for me."
The strongest hunter, limping and clutching his broken arm, looks down at the man. His bruised face cracks a smile.
"...even if you come back twice or hundreds of times, we will fight back."
The man chuckles. Then it turns to a piercing scream of laughter, his red eyes bulging, veins almost popping from the excitement of hearing the hunter's words.
"Ha! HAHAHA!"
The hunters who are still standing backed away in fear, their wounded and exhausted bodies shiver, every fiber of their body screaming at them to flee.
"Let's see... how well you pesky little ants save your asses the next time I'll—"
A sword pierced his last heart. He's dead.
And that's how the war ended.
Although everything came back to normal after that, the Hunters were not overjoyed. Even to the present, the unknown man's words are carved into every corner of their body.
A nightmare they couldn't wake up from.
"I will hunt every single one of you until I'm satisfied. Your Gods are next."

"That's it...?" The orang-hair asks, almost looking a little disappointed.
"That's it."
"Was he also a hunter?"
The raven-hair considered the question. "Hm, Order never disclosed it so people assumed he was. Only those who can wield are chosen by the Gods anyway."
"Just imagine a war between a single man and al the hunters in the country. It sounds crazy, dude!"
Raven-hair chuckles.
"I know. People also exaggerated it more so that story's becoming a little... cringe."
The strongest hunter who killed the unknown man created the Order, an organization that rules over all the hunters.
The past years, the strong hunters created their own guilds allowed by the Order and these guilds are assigned at each cities. They're also the one responsible for clearing every Cracks that appear in their area.
Cracks are what they call when the space is split open, and then monsters will emerge from it.
No one knows where these monsters came from.
"I've still got loads of things to do at the guild so I'll catch up later, yeah?" The raven-hair sighs, standing from the wood chair.
The orange-hair nods. "Sure, Matthew. I'll see you later at the Order's Anniversary then!"
After waving at each other, they went to the separate roads.
