The golden leaves of autumn crunched beneath Amelia's boots as she walked through the park. The crisp air carried the scent of fallen leaves and the distant aroma of coffee from a nearby café. This was her favorite season, a time of change, a time of reflection. She pulled her coat tighter around her, her mind lost in thoughts of work and deadlines.
She didn't expect to bump into someone—literally.
"Oof!" Amelia stumbled back, her coffee cup nearly slipping from her grasp.
"I'm so sorry!" A deep voice said. She looked up and met a pair of warm brown eyes. A young man, probably in his late twenties, stood before her, holding onto her elbow to steady her. His dark hair was slightly tousled, and he had a charming, apologetic smile.
"It's okay," Amelia said, brushing off the moment.
"I'm Ethan," he introduced himself.
"Amelia," she replied, adjusting her scarf.
"Let me make it up to you," he said. "There's a café just around the corner. Can I buy you another coffee?"
She hesitated, then nodded. "Sure, why not?"
And just like that, a simple accident turned into an unexpected meeting.
