Agony.
The moment I regain consciousness, I'm drowning in it. A sharp, unbearable pain racks my body,
making it impossible to move. My breathing is ragged, my chest feels like it's been stomped on.
Then the smell hits me.
Blood.
Thick. Overwhelming.
I open my eyes and nearly vomit.
The ground beneath me is slick and weta deep crimson pool of rotting flesh and torn bodies.
Severed limbs float in the filth, and the pavement is cracked, littered with bones, chunks of meat,
and discarded weapons.
I push myself up, my hands sinking into something soft. I dont dare look at what it is. My body
trembles. This isnt a battlefield.
Its a slaughterhouse.
I stagger to my feet, trying to take in my surroundings.
The sky is an angry shade of red, swirling like a bleeding wound. The air is thick with the scent of
decay. Ruined buildings stretch endlessly, their walls smeared with entrails. Dismembered corpses
dangle from streetlights, their expressions frozen in horror.
And the screams.
They echo in the distance shrieks of agony, pleas for mercy that never come. Somewhere, metal
scrapes against bone, followed by a sickening crunch.
My stomach churns. My head pounds.
This isn't the world Nayuta promised me.
Where are the beautiful women? The paradise? The so-called destiny I was meant to fulfill?
I take a step forward and nearly slip on a severed head.
The girls face is still fresh, eyes wide, mouth agape in an eternal scream.
...
"Find me, Akira. Please..."
The nightmare shatters.
.....And I am alone.
