On a regular Monday at lunchtime, Shin sat in the corner of the classroom, eating the sandwich he had found in the bin. His classmates were all chatting happily with each other not even paying attention to him. This was normal for Shin as he had always been someone who did not stand out in the class. The only time he stood out was when his bullies were picking on him for how poor and weak he was. Shin's mother and father passed away when he was young, leaving him to fend for himself. He never ate proper meals, slept in the streets and had never felt safe before. His own family refused to take him in as he was viewed as a failure by his aunties and grandparents; they just left him to fend for himself. Shin had to get a job when he was 10, meaning the only jobs that would hire him were blacklisted companies that were toxic and didn't pay fair wages. But Shin needed the money to survive, so he would go to work every day after school and wouldn't finish until 2 am the next day. He then walked back to his cardboard box after work and usually doesn't fall asleep until 3 am most nights, and had to get up at 7 am to make it to school on time. Shin's life had been like hell; he never got enough rest, was always hungry and was poorly bullied because his parents died. But when he was eating his sandwich, a bright white light came off a circle with inscriptions on the classroom floor, and it appeared out of nowhere. People tried to get out of the classroom, but the doors locked themselves, and the windows were also locked; nothing could pry them open. All of the girls in Shin's class started screaming for fear that this would kill them. Everything went white and made everyone close their eyes due to how bright it was.
When everyone opened their eyes again, they realised they weren't in the classroom anymore and were instead in what looked like a throne room in another world. Sitting on the throne was a man with white hair and a crown on his head, with a woman wearing a crown sitting on the other throne next to him. Standing around the room's edges were men in metal armour with various weapons. Many people looked like royals and their was a weird looking person holding a mirror. They were in another world and didn't know what the future held for their fates.
